What you can pick
In October, check what’s currently ripe before you go. Seasons below are typical windows for Pennsylvania, not a guarantee for this exact farm.
Before you go
A short checklist so the trip feels easy — especially helpful for first-time u-pick visits in Pennsylvania.
- Bring closed-toe shoes, sun protection, water, and containers unless the farm supplies them.
- Call or check the website for today’s picking conditions — mud, rain, and sold-out fields are common.
- Arrive earlier in the day for cooler weather and better selection during peak weekends.
- Payment notes on file: Discover, Mastercard, VISA. Cash still helps at smaller stands.

“Our first visit at Hollabaugh was for the peach festival last year and we visited again today for the strawberry festival. Both times, our visits have been exceptional. Our family loves this place. We went on wagon rides both times and both tours were given by family members which is very special because they are so connected to the land and business. The land is beautiful, the market has everything you could need, there is live music and yard games and slides for the kids. Our son especially likes wheeling the mini shopping cart around the market. This is a place that our family will continue to visit throughout the year for all of their various offerings. Thank you to the family for making this such a special place for our young family to visit! We really appreciate that our kids are welcome to run around and play and learn and enjoy great food.”

“Our family loves attending the weekly "Read, Learn, Grow" classes available for 3-5 year olds. The instructor and tractor ride driver are always friendly and welcoming. They have many other seasonal events available for the public. The prices are a bit high on retail items although there is an extensive high-quality selection. But the produce, canned goods, dairy, and meat item prices are about the same as other local competitors. Definitely worth the drive and an Adam's County hidden gem! 🍏”

“Truly an amazing roadside farm market! They have a large selection of fresh fruits and veggies. There is also an ice cream bar, bakery, and gifts for the kids. We love stopping here for the amazing peaches in the summer and the great selection of apples in the fall. Also have a nice selection of locally raised meats. We have been stopping here for years and they keep growing while continually offering amazing locally raised products with top notch service!”

“Hollabaugh Orchards is one of my customers and I love when I have to stop there and visit. You just never know what you might find. Produce /fruit is so fresh and yummy, a wonderful bakery section (who doesn't love a bakery section), flowers/plants, cute gift ideas, oh my, I could list all the wonderful things all day! Definitely worth stopping and bring money - you will definitely want to spend it! :)”

“A delightful stop on our way to Gettysburg. Apples seem to be the highlight. Wonderful book exchange program is offered. Yummy bakery treats, produce, ice cream, meats, soup and toys/activities for children. They offer classes for things such as sourdough bread, wooden flowers, charcuterie boards and children classes. We had a great time discovering all they had to offer.”

“Love to stop here any chance we get when in Adams County. The bakes items are home-made and delicious. The produce is fresh and the Honeycrisp apples are the best! So fresh and sweet. Cute shop with some unique gifts too. Books, jewelry, kitchen accessories and even some toys for the little ones. Be prepared to take treats home but enjoy ice cream while you're there.”

“Way cool, fun place to buy fresh fruits and vegetables...fresh baked goods (love the whole wheat blueberry bars, by the way!)...jams and jellys...ice cream...frozen meats...prepared foods...and fun "homey" decor items. Add to that, the store employees are nice, friendly, and most helpful. A win/win!”

“The store is cute, the plants are reasonably priced, the produce is delicious, and they have free outdoor games for kids! This is one of my go-tos when my kids need to get out of the house but I don't want to spend money.”
