Before you go

A short checklist so the trip feels easy — especially helpful for first-time u-pick visits in Ohio.

  • Bring closed-toe shoes, sun protection, water, and containers unless the farm supplies them.
  • Call or check the website for today’s picking conditions — mud, rain, and sold-out fields are common.
  • Arrive earlier in the day for cooler weather and better selection during peak weekends.
  • Cash still helps at smaller stands even when cards are accepted.

What visitors say

102 reviews on file · showing 8 visitor notes from the listing data.

“Update 10/2022 Tomatoes, eggplants, apples, peppers - all in yummy season right now. And the fantastic delicate squash! Yummy goodness. Apple cider is the best around-not pasteurized! Local honey, local jams and jellies, fruits and veg in season. And since they don't offer apple picking, everyone can ignore the 'I was touched' 2 star review. Interesting that they still gave it two stars.... bogus review!”

“Excellent apple cider! I go there to get local honey, and apple cider when it is in season. They are always so friendly. If you like apple cider theirs is by far the best around. They grow the apples and press them so it is all fresh, nothing added to it! I highly recommend stopping by their shop and picking some up. You'll no doubt find some other deliciousness while you're at it.”

“I bought some pears for my husband last year and he can't wait to have more this year!! They are sooo delicious along with their apples and 🍯 honey! Love this place and glad it is cash only also!!! Nice to see!! Very friendly service also!! Thank you 😊”

“Becky was super lovely and of course Louisa the perfect little helper🎉🎉💞💞we purchased dill pickeles, pears and was also given dried flowers so we can have seeds to plant 🪴 😀 awwww lovely folks💞💞”

“I went to Hollmeyer’s as a little kid and loved the kittens roaming around. I went there recently again with my mom. The caramel apples are delicious! It’s hard to find a carmel apple that good!”

“Best produce in the area, and just nice folks”

“Cute little place! Had a great selection of fresh produce, different types of apples, homemade jelly’s, jams and pickles. They also had popcorn and farm fresh butt nuggets (aka eggs) I went there after reading reviews of how great their cider was but I was sadly disappointed by two things. 1) they didn’t have any cider. 2) it was cash or check only. I was completely unprepared for the cash only thing and it felt like a wasted trip. I will return in the near future, cash in hand to get some goodies.”

“First time I went. Didn't take card. Fair enough. Second time I went with cash. I called ahead of time and asked what time they closed. The man said they closed at 6PM so I arrived at 5:30 and when I arrived, there was nobody there. I'm genuinely pissed. I drove 40 minutes out twice to not be able to buy $20 worth of orchard apples. If you're gonna close before your actual closing time, don't lie to my face.”
