What you can pick

In October, check what’s currently ripe before you go. Seasons below are typical windows for Missouri, not a guarantee for this exact farm.

Before you go

A short checklist so the trip feels easy — especially helpful for first-time u-pick visits in Missouri.

  • Bring closed-toe shoes, sun protection, water, and containers unless the farm supplies them.
  • Call or check the website for today’s picking conditions — mud, rain, and sold-out fields are common.
  • Wear clothes you don’t mind getting stained; berry juice and field mud travel home with you.
  • Cash still helps at smaller stands even when cards are accepted.

“Revised for 2026! John has expanded with a greenhouse and so much more variety! Very knowledgeable and friendly. Usually open on Saturdays in Spring and Fall to purchase a variety of tested, healthy plants. I've purchased fruit and nut trees and bushes at least 4 times from this farm and have had great success. I love that he asks questions and makes great suggestions for companion planting. I also like the printouts about each variety, so you can snap a quick photo to help keep track of what you purchased. They also have a U-Pick berry farm. Follow on Facebook for updates and more info.”

“Absolutely love this place. John grows all his plants there on site, so they are used to this area. I have noticed a world of difference between the trees I purchased here versus trees from other nursery's that were shipped in from out of the area. These trees seem to have hardly any transplant shock at all and grew noticeably faster. John is also a walking encyclopedia of knowledge. He helped me a lot getting trees that are resistant to the diseases common in the area. That is a big deal if you don't want to be spraying all the time.”

“My sister and I came here to pick strawberries and had a great time! The man there was really friendly. I was worried about getting there later in the afternoon, but even after the big morning rush they had there was still plenty of great quality berries to pick 😊 Will definitely come again!”

“Amazing place, so close to home! Many varieties of blackberries. My mom and I went this morning and had a blast. Highly recommend!”

“Best place to get berry bushes and fruit trees. The berry picking is amazing to some of the nicest blueberrys I've ever seen!”
