Howard's Harvest Market

“Facebook said he was open Tuesday, but he is currently open only his winter hours, so it's good to call ahead or check their site posts. I called and he said they were closed, but he was there getting ready for Christmas sales, and could sell me fresh produce he had on hand. He has local milk, meat, cheese, spices, and crafted wood items too. I went, I bought the lettuce/onions/tomato needed, and even added a couple pounds of frozen local ground beef to my order. I was able to make a nice salad. This business is less than 5 miles from my house, and I love supporting local! It looks like he's still got a few trees on hand for sale, but with the weather they will likely go cheap, if someone still wants fruit trees, or like me needing to replace thet ones that the deer ate or that didn't survive bought from the chain store.😢”

The variety of products available is wonderful and all very high quality. We've gotten a variety of plants and produce from them and have never been disappointed. Also very grateful for a place to buy Chaney's milk closer to home. We are thankful Howard's Harvest Market is a part of our community!”

“Such a cute place with the friendliest owners! They carry a wide variety of local produce, sweets and treats! Lots of local jams, jellies, BBQ sauces and more. We were super happy to see Chaney’s and Status Crowe ice creams. I can’t forget to mention the Mamaw Eat’s cookies, they are absolutely delicious! Shop local y’all won’t be disappointed!”

“Lots of seasonal produce that is fairly priced, most times cheaper than the local grocery. Their stock of jams, jellies, kumquats, and preserves is the best. It is the only place that I have purchased blackberry jelly from that offered wild, and domesticated (seedless) varieties.”

“Produce is grown locally and you can even find locally canned jams, sorghum, relishes, tomato juices, etc. This time of the year the have mums galore! Great place to stop and pick up items for your supper!”
