Hylebos Blueberry Farm Park

“One of my favorite natural spaces in Federal Way and beyond. It's beautiful and well maintained. I love being able to feel as if I am in deep forest in the middle of federal way. It's definitely a treasure to be able to walk amongst nature when smack dab in the middle of a Seattle suburb. The trails and boardwalk are well maintained and the park is kept clean. They also have educational resources available, including a small cabin/educational center, a little library and a trading post. Wonderful community resource”

“Great access point to Hylebos Wetlands. Large stone parking area. Trail to Hylebos Wetlands. No restroom facilities. Signage with map of the area. Also a large field of blueberries. Overall a great park that preserves a wetland.”

“Some blueberries are not quite ripe yet, most are also ripe and ready to eat, sweet and little bit tart to them! Watch out if you don’t like snails, they’re visible everywhere on the farm.”

“They have finished the connection between the Blueberry Farm and the Hylebos wetlands park. It's a very nice walk through the bog.”

“Not a lot to do at a blueberry farm. The plants are in blossom now (early May). We used the area for parking to access the southside of West Hylebos Wetland Sanctuary. There is a nice, accessible trail (wood chips at the start, boardwalk the rest of the way.) into the sanctuary and easy access to the Bank Lake viewing deck.”

“Stopped by there yesterday. Read that you could go and help get the place ready for people to come out and pick blueberries. It was closed when I got there and I expected it to be closed because I was just going by to look. Where are the parking is there are a couple vehicles parked there one of them being a camper with lots of personal items outside of it that looked more like a homeless camp. I did look and see a younger girl over in the blueberries picking the blueberries and eating them. I don't know if this was an owner or somebody from the camper or somebody from the neighborhood. The fact that it was closed and somebody was over in there eating the blueberries was concerning being that it's supposed to be a community place where people can go and pick blueberries. I will try to go back again when the place is open and maybe I'll have a better review for that visit”
