“Mixed review this year. All other years they have been excellent. First batch this year was good, but the bag we bought on the way out was about 50% bad peaches buried in the bottom. It was kind of like they knew people were buying them that were leaving and couldn't bring them back to complain....”

“I had the “displeasure “ of stopping to buy peaches at the Little River, SC stand. The middle aged lady working the stand was waiting on one lady and discussing having to cover and uncover the stand due to rain. There were 2 -$14 bags of 16 peaches inside. I wanted to “gently” pick up each peach and take a look at them. The first bag had several peaches with skin breaks which caused fruit flies and rotting. She started on me about “they were just picked this morning “,” I just bagged these”, etc. I tried to say to her I just wanted to be sure I liked what was inside. She was intent on embarrassing me, so she told the lady checking out, I will go bag you some that haven’t been handled !! The lady paid and I said “how nice of you to bag her some that you hand picked for her” She told me that people don’t like it when they have been handled. Excuse me- but didn’t you just go bag from the large bushel baskets , where people pick up the peaches, smell them or make their own bag from them? How embarrassing that she made me feel less than the lady whom she hand picked a bag for. Her point was useless and her intent towards me was unprofessional. I left and bought nothing. What a small minded person to embarrass me so she could be right. To the lady that got her personally packed peaches, surprise, they’ve been handled a lot, by many people. No one at that stand has ever even so rude to me. If she’s working, I’ll drive right on past the place.”

“We have been purchasing peaches at your roadside stand in Little River for several years. We had never gotten any bad fruit until our last visit earlier this week. The peaches, now four days old are still extremely hard and the appear as though they will rot before ripen. There is absolutely zero taste.”

“We spent 50.00 at the stand in little river. The cantaloupe was terrible hard and dry. Peaches are not sweet. Very disappointing. Also got a watermelon cutting today not expecting much. Trying to shop local and not driving to Whiteville. Next time definitely driving there...”

“Just stopped today and bought peaches. The girl said they were freestone. Not! They are cling and they are bruised badly. I should have waited and bought ai Pee Dee farmers market. Never have I gotten bad peaches there.”
