“We went for the tulip festival. Due to unpredictable weather several rows of tulips had not bloomed yet. However, there were plenty of beautiful tulips in bloom. The farm has lots of fun activities for children plus farm animals to visit. Due to bad weather, only the tulips were open when we went. They were selling pizza (we didn’t get any) and there is a gift shop with a variety of items from jellies and honey to stuffed animals and decorative flags.”

“Spring tulip event was not worth the price compared to their fall weekends. We purchased tickets online and arrived at 9:50AM, they open at 10. We didn’t actually get inside the farm until 10:40. Not sure what took so long to get people through the door, maybe have a separate line for people who purchased ahead of time to scan their codes. Once inside, we noticed not all of the exhibits were open or were sparsely staffed so there was a lot of waiting around for someone even though crowds were extremely minimal. Only one concession was open, donut-shack was closed, ice cream counter was closed, Easter bunny was seen taking photos in the tulip field but not there once we walked over, and Easter egg hunt did not happen until 1 or 4 PM which was not advertised online when we purchased tickets. Since we arrived at opening time at 10 AM, there was not enough to do or eat to keep us there waiting around for the egg hunt. Please provide a list of what will be open when you sell tickets. Generalized advertising about Easter egg hunts, concessions, and the Easter bunny leaves a lot of room for disappointment when you do not advertise their times.”
“Visited late April on school field trip. Machines/trailers randomly parked all over farm with overgrown grass/weeds all around. Storage area by picnic shelter looked like a hoarder situation. Very few animals and the water troughs were green and smelled. Grass in the “public area” was high and around benches had not been trimmed in several weeks. Have been visiting Layman Farms for many years and run down state of the entire farm is sad. Will not be returning for amount charged in the state of current disrepair.”
