“Cecil Woods is the REAL DEAL!!! The most authentic farmer you’ll ever meet. My family has been buying his produce for 5 years now, through CSA Farm Shares and also at the Keller Farmers Market. Sure, you can buy cheap produce from Mexico at the grocery store (or sadly even at the Farmers Market...don’t get me started. If you are selling gorgeous tomatoes or broccoli when other local farmers have just transplanted theirs to the ground, it’s probably not local. *eye roll*) But Cecil’s heirlooom tomatoes or gorgeous yellow zucchini burst with flavor you won’t find from the grocery store or Mexico. It was as if I was experiencing a new fruit when I tasted one of his cantaloupes. Oh my goodness, the fragrance before we even cut it open was enough to make my mouth water! If that doesn’t make you jealous, I was eating fresh buttery lettuce when the grocery stores were pulling lettuce from their shelves due to e.coli contamination. And it was DELICIOUS and I had zero concern feeding it to my family. I know my farmer and have grilled him on his farming choices and methods. It’s what I would do if I had the time. True, honest produce the way God intended. So go support your local farmer, Cecil!!! You won’t regret it.”
