Before you go

A short checklist so the trip feels easy — especially helpful for first-time u-pick visits in California.

  • Bring closed-toe shoes, sun protection, water, and containers unless the farm supplies them.
  • Call or check the website for today’s picking conditions — mud, rain, and sold-out fields are common.
  • Wear clothes you don’t mind getting stained; berry juice and field mud travel home with you.
  • Cash still helps at smaller stands even when cards are accepted.

“We had such a wonderful time at Lemos Farm with my daughter! This place truly captures the magic of autumn on the coast. The pumpkin patch was beautifully decorated and had that classic farm charm we were hoping for. My daughter’s eyes lit up during the pony rides - the staff was so patient and gentle with the kids. The mini train ride was a huge hit too, chugging around the property while she waved at other families. We spent ages feeding the goats, which had her giggling nonstop when they nibbled treats from her tiny hands. The bounce castles were perfect for burning off some energy, and the hay ride gave us a nice tour of the farm while enjoying the crisp ocean breeze. Everything felt safe and well-maintained, and the staff clearly loves working with families. What I appreciated most was how many activities were included - we easily spent 3-4 hours there without feeling rushed. The pumpkins were gorgeous too, and we found the perfect one to take home. Lemos Farm delivers exactly what you’d want from a family pumpkin patch experience. We’ll definitely be back next year - it’s become our new fall tradition!”

“Went for a niece's 2nd birthday. It was so much fun for kids of that age. Admission needs a wristband with unlimited entry to a huge slide, pony rides, and train ride, and petting zoo. Did not get the time to go around the farm entirely. They also have a souvenir shack and a small food shack. Did not get to see the menu. Adult wrist band cost is $12. Kids have different packages starting from $35 to do not remember the number. Plenty of on site parking and it is free. Women's restrooms are at the entrance and they are pretty clean.”

“We were guests at a birthday party here and our 3 kids (ages 10, 8, and 3) all had a great time. There few rides but the kids found them entertaining. The only toy that we had to pay extra for was the kid excavation machine which was very reasonable. We didn't try the food since we had party food that the venue allowed us to bring in but the prices seemed reasonable.”

“Loved goat yoga!!! If you love yoga and love animals, you will love goat yoga. Couple words of advice. It can be cold so you will need to wear shoes. Don't forget your towel or yoga mat but the goats may pee or poop on your mat. I loved this!!!!”

“We had our first time in Lemos Farm. It was a lot of great things to do! From Car Ride, Train Ride, Cow Ride, Pony Ride and Feeding of Goats. Must recommend for whole family!”

“Lemos Farm is the perfect fall getaway in Half Moon Bay! The fall décor is amazing — pumpkins, hay bales, and cozy autumn vibes everywhere. Great place for kids with tons of fun activities: hay ride, train ride, petting zoo, haunted house, and live music. The appetizing smell of freshly baked pumpkin pie just adds to the charm. Perfect for families with little ones or anyone looking for a relaxing, festive day out in Half Moon Bay.”

“It was fun visiting close to Halloween. Traffic can get pretty heavy. The hay ride was pretty cool! Plenty of opportunity to interact with goats and ponies! I would budget 1-2 hours without kids to see everything, but it was nice!”

“OMG!! What’s going on!!! We visited Lemos Farm on Saturday, October 25, 2025, and were shocked to see the madness! We reached around 12 p.m., and it was unbelievably crowded. It had rained earlier, so there was wet mud everywhere, and we had to drive about 5 minutes further just to find parking — then walk another 5–8 minutes back to the farm. To my surprise, the prices were way higher than what I’d seen online from a content creator — it came out to around $70 for a family of three with one little kid! 😳 From the side, I could already see how packed it was, and people were saying they waited over an hour just to play a single game! Seriously? Waiting an hour for basic games you’re required to buy tokens for? There’s a limit to greed, and it feels like these pumpkin farms are forgetting that. The farm itself looked small and overly crowded, so we decided to take a U-turn and head across the street to Pastorino’s Farm — and what a relief! They had train rides for $6 each, hayrides, bouncy castles, a plant and pumpkin store, and free entry and parking! Plus, a cozy coffee stand for just $2. We enjoyed fun rides and took great photos — all without burning a hole in our pocket for those so-called “fancy” farms. 🎃✨”
