A short checklist so the trip feels easy — especially helpful for first-time u-pick visits in Delaware.

  • Check whether this stop is a stand, orchard tour, or full farm experience before you arrive.
  • Call or check the website for today’s picking conditions — mud, rain, and sold-out fields are common.
  • Arrive earlier in the day for cooler weather and better selection during peak weekends.
  • Cash still helps at smaller stands even when cards are accepted.

“I met up with a friend here on a Sunday afternoon. I never had mead before so we both were very interested in experiencing a new taste. First, the place has a very cool and interesting mix of antiques and vintage decorations. There is a cabinet with all kinds of bottles, collectables about Wilmington, DE brewing history....which I loved! Great atmosphere. All the staff was very helpful and friendly. We did a flight of mead drinks which were very interesting to taste and experience. We wound up enjoying the cider that they brew. Im not a big cider guy guy but, it had a great burst of flavor and was delicious. Deep Routed cider was our favorite. They had a food truck there as well. We just had drinks but, it looked like a hip food truck. Overall I would definitely recommend trying this place. The drinks were very refreshing and super tasty. The owner was on site and very informative. He is definitely passionate about his mead and cider production. It shows when you drink his products. I have been back and you can grab a growler to go and they give you back reward bucks too. Great unique place definitely worthy to check out. It has a nice coutyard outdoor space which looks very inviting come springtime.”

“So we found liquid alchemy at the Sager bounds Oktoberfest within the last eight years or so. We spent more time at that time than any other time in October fest as a rule of thumb And now finally, a decade later, we get to the location to be thrilled by the staff, the nerd forward, decor, and total Chillaxx environment. We want to come back to meet the Frenchie puppy girl (who apparently owns the place) and her parents just to be able to say thank you because what you’re doing and the staff that you hire - to rep who ya’ll are - is spot on.”

“A very unique establishment with praise to Star Wars fans and other movie genres. Very eclectic with plenty to see but the real stuff is in the Mead beverages brewed by them along with ciders; great selection. They have many theme nights that are worth seeing and outdoor section that is just as amazing along with Pay for ax throwing in the very back. Food truck most nights. Located on a drive down an industrial park normally you would think this is not ideal but definitely worth pulling up to and seeing and tasting a great experience.”

“Highly recommend giving them a visit if you live in DE, visit friends or family in DE, or just feel like taking a ride! From the moment i walked in nothing but GOOD VIBES! Owners, staff, hell even the customers were amazing! Everyone was so chill, cool, friendly! And let’s not forget their awesome menu of meads! You definitely need to come here and try them out. Also they have the cutest mascot Stella. Pets welcomed for all you pet lovers! Fun for you and your fur babies!!”

“Friendly service, a nice variety of ciders--we're cider fans and love to try new places. We were passing through on a longish trip and stopped. After enjoying a flight, we took home 4-packs of The Light Cide(r) and the unique Deeply Rooted. The interior is chock-full of interesting objects. The outdoor space is very inviting and would be lovely to enjoy on a not-so-blazing hot day.”

“This brewery is super cool! The staff is super friendly and really made my first time visiting Delaware super enjoyable. Make sure to try the sorrel mead, it’s delicious!”

“Cozy nerdy chill vibes. Mature and chill vibes! Drinks are so good and made to perfection. Will visit again. Indoor and outdoor seating! Hidden gem!”

“Super cool atmosphere and uniquely decorated venue, but we did not prefer the ciders. They seemed kinda flat, and we found out from one of the staff (maybe an owner) that they actually undercarbonate their ciders on purpose. So we enjoyed the groovy star wars themes inside, just not our vibe of a place. Super friendly staff and unique location in what felt like a warehouse complex.”
