What you can pick
In October, check what’s currently ripe before you go. Seasons below are typical windows for Wisconsin, not a guarantee for this exact farm.
Before you go
A short checklist so the trip feels easy — especially helpful for first-time u-pick visits in Wisconsin.
- Bring closed-toe shoes, sun protection, water, and containers unless the farm supplies them.
- Call or check the website for today’s picking conditions — mud, rain, and sold-out fields are common.
- Wear clothes you don’t mind getting stained; berry juice and field mud travel home with you.
- Cash still helps at smaller stands even when cards are accepted.

“Hidden gem of Eau Claire! For anyone who has not paid a visit to Little Berry Farm…add it to your travels because this trip is well worth it! The area is beautiful, farm is well-kept and has really good vibes. The owners are the kindest, most genuine people I have ever met and that shines through all the way down to the berries. The best berries I’ve ever had had hands down! The quality supersedes anything you’ll find in the area and reasonably priced. No harsh chemicals, soggy or mold of any kind. Extraordinary appearance and flavor unlike any other, so check it out before the season ends!”

“Went Strawberry picking here.... First Arrived and Gaye Engen (owner) greeted us right away with a big smile and updated us on info on Strawberry picking. They where running low when we got there, but we found enough and did not show up when they opened but about 2 hours later. So that happens. However the strawberries we got where delicious. We did put some in paper bags when we got home and by morning they were all ripe, like they should be.The prices were good and we even left a tip. Thanks for the beautiful, delicious strawberries. We will come again and get 🫐 and raspberries as well.”

“The days & hours here are sporadic & not planned ahead of time as availability & weather have an effect. In person, owner will direct you to call the # on the website & Facebook for availability ahead of time yet she won't answer the phone, regardless if they're open or not. If you leave a message inquiring hours, offerings, & availability for that day you will not get a call back- this applies even when they're open.”
