Before you go
A short checklist so the trip feels easy — especially helpful for first-time u-pick visits in Maryland.
- Check whether this stop is a stand, orchard tour, or full farm experience before you arrive.
- Call or check the website for today’s picking conditions — mud, rain, and sold-out fields are common.
- Arrive earlier in the day for cooler weather and better selection during peak weekends.
- Cash still helps at smaller stands even when cards are accepted.

“INCREDIBLE SELECTION & QUALITY! Low prices! Friendly staff that’s family owned! Supporting the local community! Fresh produce, fruits, vegetables, seasonal fall harvest items like corn, mums, and pumpkins in the fall, strawberries, blueberries, blackberries in the summer! Lots of squash, lettuce, potatoes, tomatoes, fresh homemade apple cider, homemade jams, tomato sauce, pickled beets, honey & more! Homemade ice cream and treats! Super friendly and helpful owners! They are also down at the Chestertown Farmers Market on Saturdays in town 8-Noon! They also have a fun corn maze for kids! In the summer you can pick your own berries! Fun for the whole family! Great for kids!”

“So thankful we found this Gem!! What a Beautiful farm. The fall decorations were arranged perfectly. We were able to get so many cute family pictures. There was no entrance free and all the activities were free. The corn maze was awesome!! Thick stalks making it fun to adventure through. The pumpkin prices were very cheap. We got 6 huge pumpkins for $10 a piece. The pumpkins were all in excellent shape for easy carving. Almost all had a nice stem. Their homemade signature ice cream tasted like Grandma's and again very cheap!! My family and I had such a nice day visiting and we will absolutely be back. I highly recommend.”

“I had such an amazing experience at Lockbriar Farm. The visit was unplanned, just happened to be passing by, and the staff was so nice. It’s family owned and family run…They’re ready to welcome you 7 days a week and if you’re like me and have never picked fresh produce before, no worries. The staff explained everything and pointed me in the right direction. There is also already packed produce and plants, jams, relish, cheese, and more, available. And don’t forget to grab some of the fresh ice cream!!! My fruit was so flavorful that I returned at the end of the same week to buy more.”

“We went blueberry picking and it was a great experience. The fields were well maintained with many ripe fruit to pick. The prices are good for fresh from the farm and the ice cream was also amazing.”

“Pick your own fruit if you want too. Very friendly, great service, and very informative.”

“This place has the best assortment and varieties of u-pick berries I know of. Their prices are reasonable (blue&black berries $7.99/lb), especially when the product tastes 100 time better than what you get from the stores.”
