Before you go
A short checklist so the trip feels easy — especially helpful for first-time u-pick visits in California.
- Bring closed-toe shoes, sun protection, water, and containers unless the farm supplies them.
- Call or check the website for today’s picking conditions — mud, rain, and sold-out fields are common.
- Wear clothes you don’t mind getting stained; berry juice and field mud travel home with you.
- Cash still helps at smaller stands even when cards are accepted.

“Omg you have to come here. What a perfect, wholesome fall activity. There’s plenty of (free!) parking. A little walk over to the kind people handing out baskets. You pick what you want, they give you a little map. Then weigh what you have at the end. So much fun! Especially for little ones. The apples were all incredible too. They offer samples of cider that they make, and even have adult beverages available for purchase. We probably spent and hour or two here? I wore sandals (not the best idea) the ground is pretty uneven at times. They even offer this little tram thing to drive you down to the end of the farm. Can’t wait to come back.”

“What a wonderful experience! We took our son’s family to Lucky You Orchards on the 24th. We were greeted by Steve the owner who pointed out a parking space. Andrea the daughter walked us to our row and the fun began! The Grandson was delighted when I cut into an apple that he picked off the tree! The apples were beautiful and the trees allowed the shortest and the tallest in our party to easily pick the fruit. I am impressed how the employees kept every party at healthy distances! We have a new family tradition!”

“I love this orchard. Super friendly owners and staff. We can spend hours on end at the orchard picking apples and taking photos. We definitely over stay every time we visit. We have been coming here for 2 years and will keep coming here for the years to come. The kids love and enjoy the whole experience and we always come home with bags full of apples. They're apples are one of the best apples I have had. They are DELICIOUS ♡♡♡. Photos @beautycreationsstudio”

“Our entire experience at Lucky You Orchards was A+. Everyone who worked there was incredibly friendly and helpful. We had an entire row to ourselves, which was great for Covid safety. The tractor ride was a hit for our kids, as were the free pinwheels they gave them. We left with three huge bags of Pink Lady apples, which are the most delicious Pink Ladies I have ever had. Should have picked more! We're excited to be back for cherries in the spring.”

“The staff at the orchard is absolutely awesome. They're so sweet, we arrived a little late for our free tractor ride and they accommodated us. The farmer was the sweetest. You can tell they're in the right business to make others happy. They talked to my kids like they were their family members. Thank you”

“Such a great place! Loved the cider tasting. Got a cider slushy for the free tractor ride. Came home with 3 baskets of apples. My son got a sticker for his water bottle and a tattoo for his arm. Everyone was really nice. Highly recommend!”
