A short checklist so the trip feels easy — especially helpful for first-time u-pick visits in Ohio.
- Bring closed-toe shoes, sun protection, water, and containers unless the farm supplies them.
- Call or check the website for today’s picking conditions — mud, rain, and sold-out fields are common.
- Arrive earlier in the day for cooler weather and better selection during peak weekends.
- Cash still helps at smaller stands even when cards are accepted.

“Brought children to enjoy autumn fun. Corn Maze. Mini corn maze. Play and climbing area. Fun zip line!!! Apple hay wagon: $4/person takes you to the apple orchard to pick an apple... We didn't know. When our driver stopped, our youngest asked WHY, he said we could get off and PICK AN APPLE! THEY ARE HUGE AND DELICIOUS. FOODS, snacks, and beverages for sale. So many activities... Makes for an exhilarating day!!!”

“My husband and I decided to go apple picking tonight, and it was both of our first time ever and we were so excited.. Overall the apples were great and there was a great selection. However, when it came to the actual apple picking exit area, the staff were unnecessarily rude and it completely ruined our happiness. We pulled up with our $40 big bag of apples (that we saved money up to do) in the open trunk and when she checked in our backseat beforehand (maybe to look to make sure we weren’t stealing which is totally fine) it was a bit cluttered and she EXCLAIMED “oh my wow” in an awful attitude and we were so deflated and upset that it ended that way. So I guess be aware of the judgmental rude staff. Completely ruined our entire experience.”
