Before you go

A short checklist so the trip feels easy — especially helpful for first-time u-pick visits in Nebraska.

  • Bring closed-toe shoes, sun protection, water, and containers unless the farm supplies them.
  • Call or check the website for today’s picking conditions — mud, rain, and sold-out fields are common.
  • Wear clothes you don’t mind getting stained; berry juice and field mud travel home with you.
  • Cash still helps at smaller stands even when cards are accepted.

“The best no-frills pumpkin patch in the area. Don’t come here expecting an amusement park, it’s a true u-pick pumpkin patch. Pick your own from the field or rifle through the pre-picked ones on their trailers. They provide wheelbarrows and clippers, but I suggest bringing gardening gloves if you plan on picking a lot of large pumpkins in the field. They also sell decorative cornstalks and straw bales. There is a small swingset for kids to play on. Prices are very reasonable. Got a whole truckload for $110.”

“This place is fantastic! You pick a wheelbarrow and pick out all your own gourds and pumpkins from various trailers. We got 2 big carving pumpkins and numerous gourds for only $20! The staff is helpful and will give you price estimates along the way 😊 If you go and there isn't much available I would suggest going back the next week! A lot of reviews said they were cleaned out mid-September but I went in the first week of October and there were tons available. Get your gourd on! 🎃🍠🍄🍁🕷”

“Even with the fields being washed out this year, this family owned business brought in pumpkins, corn and other grain stalks for birds from their other location so that customers could still enjoy their beautiful pumpkins which never disappoint. They are reasonably priced. I am thankful for all they offer and look forward to Sept every year. Thank you, Markmanns.”

“This place is great! Went down on a Friday afternoon and it was pretty busy but there was still plenty of parking. They also have Port-a-potties available. It was super cute, the staff were really helpful and friendly, and I got all these gourds for just $22!!”

“Great place to pick varieties of pumpkins! It was very reasonable and we got all of these pumpkins for only $10. Cheaper than anywhere else we have been to. We went there mid October, but there were still plenty left. Definitely coming back next year!”
