“Ryan is a really good tour guide, was able to be patient with my parents questions and answers were polite and respectful in a way they could understand. He’s full of interesting information and knowledgeable about his craft. Just note, farm to table lunch not so much vegan or vegetarian friendly as orders were from the local food truck with no options really than the smoothies on the menu. Though they did work with us to get us impossible burgers and tofu salad but likely it was prepared on the same cutting boards and grills as other meats so it had a weird smell that makes me nauseous and twists my stomach into knots to gag because my family and I are indo-vegetarian since birth. The tour is great, the food not so much for vegetarians. Ryan is working with the food truck for a vegan/veg option so no modifications needed. (Buddha bowels…???)”

“Today we had such a great experience on the farm tour! You walk through the palm trees while the tour guide shares interesting stories about the island, the fruits, and the macadamia nuts. There’s no need to arrive early, the tour starts right at the scheduled time. Parking is easy and free. You also get a complimentary fresh coconut, which was incredibly tasty! The $10 lunch that’s included (we paid $178 total for two people) is definitely worth it, since most dishes at the Ulu Ulu Café are more expensive anyway, and you can choose from the full menu. It’s a really fun activity if you have about 2–3 hours available in your schedule (including lunch)!”

“Had the pleasure of a one on one tour with Ryan who shared their years of experience working and forming a relationship with nature and creating foodscapes before becoming the farm manager he is now. It was a fulfilling hour and I got more than I could have asked for in knowledge and advice Got to try one of the sweetest tasting coconuts I’ve ever had along with some tomatoes and macadamia nuts. Unfortunately just a little too early for the bananas Would highly recommended If you show up early the gates to the parking may be closed”

“Such a great deal!! Ryan was knowledgeable, fun, and so accommodating. The tour is such a great deal as we paid $176 for the two of us and the following was included: - 1 hour tour of the working farm - Samples of produce grown on site - Freshly picked and split coconut - Reusable water bottle with bamboo top - Bag of macadamia nuts - Farm-to-Table lunch Seeing their working orchards and their hydroponics greenhouses was so neat. One of my favorite things I’ve done in Maui!! Come check them out!!”

“When my husband and I decided to take the Maui Macadamia Tour we were prepared to learn about macadamia nut farming. This tour is so much more than that. Ryan and Gant taught us so much about sustainable farming practices, greenhouse farming, and their passion for providing their community with natural wholesome food. We sampled fresh coconut water and delicious cherry tomatoes that could possibly be the tastiest tomatoes ever. This tour is highly recommended and will not disappoint.”

“I’m a nut for a nut so bugged my spouse into dropping by for a tour. Ryan was our guide and he was very kind and informative. The tour goes for a little bit over an hour and covers fruits and nuts, as well as some history, and comes with several things to try. We had fresh coconut, dragonfruit, bananas, and obviously macadamias. Would recommend you come see the spot.”

“Very beautiful place/farm. Don’t arrive early as they only open the gates at opening time, 10am. Saw macadamia nut trees, a greenhouse full of vegetables, bananas, coconuts with the best water inside. Great learning tour led by a man who loves nature and life and wants to show others how it can be done. Thoroughly enjoyed our tour and lunch provided.”

“We booked the tour because we live macadamia nuts…on just about anything. Ryan did an amazing job showing us the farm including apple banana, coconut, papayas, and dragonfruit. The hydroponic growing was also very interesting. Ryan gets five stars. He was amazing. The tour however, seemed a little misleading. We really wanted to know more about the nut portion and that was 15 minutes of the tour. The nut trees are not the farms top interests and it shows when you see the withering trees. The tour is great but don’t go into thinking you will learn a lot about macadamia nut farming.”
