McCall's Pumpkin Patch

“Located close to I-25S in Moriarty, New Mexico. This pumpkin patch reminds me a miniature Disneyland without all the rides. Wonderful experience for all ages. Great family outing. So many wonderful things to do. Castle with princesses, little girls can have their nails done, Animals to see, fun corn maze, miniature zip line, many different food venues and plenty of room to sit and eat. Really enjoyed the hayride to the pumpkin patch to search for the right pumpkin. Doing the paint guns was fun shiiting at old farm equipment. Lots of fun things for kids to do also. The country store has a variety of things you can buy. A must place to go to.”

“My family and Ii loved this place. This was our first time here. There are tons of activities included with the admission price and the lines fo them were not too long either, so they got to do almost everything there was to do. I hate long lines, so I was a happy parent as well. The food seemed fairly priced from the things I saw. I LOVED the funnel cake (which I had never tasted before!) it was incredible! This place surpassed all my expectations. We're definitely coming back next year!”

“This place is amazing. So much to do. We were there from 10am to 3pm and only did about half of what was on offer. My 2 1/2 y.o. loved it. The roasted corn! The hayride to the pumpkin patch! The bouncy house! The cow train! Such a lovely afternoon. I really feel they have everything so well planned out making the grounds easy to navigate and enjoy. Wish it ran into November so we could keep going!”

“Great time. Like usual. Will definitely come back Next year. Even with the cost. I still believe it’s a steal for the experience. The kids can play and it’s just to enter is the key. My boys had a great time with the animals. The corn maze, picking pumpkins. The various rides.”

“I really wish this were a year round venue. It could be a petting zoo in the off season, fireworks show in the summer (July), 2 months of fall/ Halloween and 2 months of holiday/Christmas themes. It is such a fun, clean, family oriented place!”

“This is a fun place to spend some time with the family. Enjoyed the games, the train ride, corn fields were a little too dusty for my Liking but I enjoyed the haunted maze and the food was delicious.”

“Went this year. I have to say it's a little different from other pumpkin patches I've been to. It feels like a pumpkin theme carnival. My son had fun. There's a lot to do but surely the admission is on the higher side too. Many of the free activities are beat up old. The bowling sets are very torn up. The mini town actually looks like a ghost town, the jail is the only one everyone's taking pictures with. Corn maze is fun and free. Train ride is like $4 or $3 extra.”

“I really like this place (like I take my family every year) but they are severely understaffed. I'm not sure if it's attributed to the amount of growth they've had in recent years or just the geographic location but I hope they can adapt to the change. The good: it's authentic, it has many offerings it's exactly what I personally think is a "fall pumpkin patch" in New Mexico. We always have a good time I personally want to spend more time there however that's where the "not so good" comes into play. We definitely need better parking situation it's not the parking but the getting in that is awkward mostly long because the bottleneck situation. (They need 2 entrences or traffic control earlier) The second awkward thing is buying tickets online and having to get in line to buy punch cards and get wristbands. Why? After you get your initial onboarding situation it's purely family fun and chaos. Now we always have fun mostly trying to get the entire family to each personality preferences and abilities, my family is large with 6 kids (2 yrs 5 yrs 9 yrs 11 yrs 36yrs and 40 yrs 😂) we go everywhere we can in the time it takes for everyone to have a meltdown down. By that time we are basically arguing about is it time to leave or can we make it through the pumpkin patch and pick our favorites? can we do lunch? Etc. Typically we eat and that's the main awkward thing I always get peeved about. It's typically hot and dry in high altitude climate, by the time our mid afternoon lunch comes around we want a place to sit comfortably in the shade. Not very many options for shade or comfort. The real food options are getting better much more options than before. A few large options for big family's should be considered as I saw many large family's or multigenerational family's attending today. I also think drink options should be "healthier" I don't mind my sugar treats but sometimes I just want tea, Good ol fashioned brewed tea. Maybe something else that's supposed to be more hydrating and less sugar? (I'm borderline diabetic) My review isn't meant to be very critical but more observational. I really like this place and it's close to being a New Mexico institution like Uncle Cliffs was\is. But keep the authentic feel and take the opportunity to see where families like myself spend $500 plus as a day to use the input for next years season.”
