Before you go

A short checklist so the trip feels easy — especially helpful for first-time u-pick visits in Massachusetts.

  • Bring closed-toe shoes, sun protection, water, and containers unless the farm supplies them.
  • Call or check the website for today’s picking conditions — mud, rain, and sold-out fields are common.
  • Arrive earlier in the day for cooler weather and better selection during peak weekends.
  • Cash still helps at smaller stands even when cards are accepted.

“We are big fans of Meadowbrook and don't get over there as often as I would like! breakfast and lunch are great and the BBQ on Thursdays is excellent! A perfect summer night is eating BBQ outside and drinking a cold beer (BYOB) while the kids run around the field and play on the playground. We went recently for a weekday lunch and I had an excellent cobb salad and the kids had yummy grilled cheese. You really can't go wrong with any choice. I also highly recommend the refillable balsamic vinegar bottles that they sell for cooking at home. It's delicious!!!”

“Such a beautiful place. Went there on Oct. 3 and the weather was just right for picking apples. There was parking, there's a hayride which we didn't go on (saw others on it), and the apple picking bags range from $20 to $35 depending on the size. This place wasn't packed with a lot of people, but everyone stayed in distance. The little shop is open to buy snacks and other items which you can enjoy on the outdoor patio. The staff all wear masks.”

“What a gem ! First time I have been there and I have been to many places ; the view is to die for (not literally!), the outdoor seating is great and the food is very, very good especially fair-priced! I had a prime rib slice eggs Benedict and it was perfectly cooked and the hollandaise sauce was yummy ! I will definitely be back and refer friends ! Nice job Meadowbrook Orchards . Oh, the waitress was also wonderful !”

“Loved this place. Ancient apple tree orchard , the trees were awesome. Restaurant clean and welcoming and the best sandwich bread - I had marble rye and would have bought a loaf if they had it for sale. Desserts looked awesome and theyhave frisbee golf to work it all off if you've a mind to lol. Family run since 1912 fifth generation history ♥️”

“Top level baked goods and atmosphere! The Chandler family is beyond words can describe of keeping this cherished place in the family! Amazing bakers, amazing staff, & great food for breakfast, lunch, or dessert! Will recommend and will be back!!!”

“Came on a weekday for brunch. The menu was a limited simple menu so there were any specials but the food was still great. The potatoes were soft but yet crispy, the bacon was also crispy just how I like it and the eggs were cooked perfectly.”

“I just had a FABULOUS lunch at Meadowbrook! It was called Dianna’s flatbread with beets and prosciutto. Excellent!! Served by a great waitress”Donna” and everything was perfect!!”

“Service and food is always excellent. Staff is always friendly and helpful. It's very nice for us that they have gluten free options.”
