“Mount Up! Do not visit Jackson Hole without planning a trip to this ranch. Chancy and his family were kind enough to allow us to visit their home and experience generations of western culture. They are patient, kind, genuine and hardworking people. Our 11 yr old was riding for the first time and they were very accommodating at not only teaching him, but keeping is mind at ease while we traversed somewhat difficult trails. A very big thank you to our guide and cowboy, Sam. Thank you for taking care of our family while leaving yours behind in Virginia. You are an absolute gentleman and will be remembered fondly for your part in creating these memories. Again, this is a must do experience, as the views at 8,000 feet while on horseback; really take you back in time. In many ways, it is the true essence of visiting out west.”

“My husband and I were on the first morning ride of the 25th of June and all I can say is wow. lan our guide what a legend, he was knowledgeable and so personable, it was like riding with an old friend. The ride is beautiful, the horses are well cared for and very responsive to ride. The riding groups are kept small so you are not in a huge line like some l have been on so it feels more bespoke. The views on the ride are idyllic. We had thunder and lightning on our ride and our safety was paramount with constant contact with our guide and the ranch. This without a doubt was the best ride I have ever been on and I have ridden on and off all my life and in many different countries.”

“We had an absolutely amazing experience on the Trail Ride at Mill Iron Ranch! Our guide, Sam, was fantastic—friendly, knowledgeable, and made the whole ride enjoyable from start to finish. Everything was perfectly organized, and the scenery was breathtaking. The dinner afterward was incredible as well—delicious food and a wonderful atmosphere. What made the experience even more special was how warm, welcoming, and family-oriented everyone was. We felt right at home. I would do this again in a heartbeat and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area. Thank you, Sam and the entire Mill Iron Ranch team, for an unforgettable experience! 🤠🐎❤️”

“As a first-time horseback rider, I’ll admit I was a bit of a nervous Nellie, but Mill Iron Ranch made the experience unforgettable. Our guide was fantastic, knowledgeable, and even shared some fascinating history about himself and the area. The mountain views were absolutely breathtaking, and my horse, Roy, was such a good boy. A beautiful mix of adventure, scenery, and hospitality, I’d recommend it to anyone visiting Jackson.”

“We did the 2 hour ride with a steak dinner added on, I was stunned with how large and delicious the steak was and we had the best trail ride in the Bridger Teton National Forest with the crew from Mill Iron Ranch! The staff is incredibly friendly and the horses were accommodating of even the newest riders. The views along the ride especially at the summit 2000 feet up were simply amazing! I can't recommend this outfit enough!”
