Before you go
A short checklist so the trip feels easy — especially helpful for first-time u-pick visits in Mississippi.
- Bring closed-toe shoes, sun protection, water, and containers unless the farm supplies them.
- Call or check the website for today’s picking conditions — mud, rain, and sold-out fields are common.
- Wear clothes you don’t mind getting stained; berry juice and field mud travel home with you.
- Cash still helps at smaller stands even when cards are accepted.

“Admission is $20 and you get a pumpkin. We had a great time October 26th (85°! but there's shade to rest in) There is lots of food to buy - Fair type food trucks, all kinds of candy and kettle corn. There's peanuts galore, ice cream, & candy apples. Wear closed toe shoes, lots of walking. There's a "tiny town" for kids to play in, bubble station, corn pit, sand pit, tire climbing tower, bladders to jump on, slides, and swings. There's a sunflower patch, a butterfly garden, & corn maze to walk through. There's a shop with jellies and pickles & toys. There's a covered wagon / bus you can ride around the property along with a kids' barrel train. While we were there you could take a photo with "Elsa", "Belle", and Cinderella or his and her Mouse (Mickey & Minnie) There are a couple of cabins you can look into with quilts and collectables.”

“Beautiful location, amazing entertainment for kids of all ages, well kept grounds , and just plain ole' fun. It is worth the two hour tour to get there! There was so much to do and not enough time between the bubble blowing station, ballon guy, bouncing bean, rocking horses, all of the slides, and play houses equiped with small furniture fit for the little ones, basket ball goals, cornhole games, hay ride, and don't forget about the corn maze and picking your pumpkin, we were going strong all day long. There's vendors set up with good fair style food psa: it's always gonna cost a small fortune to eat at these pop ups. No porta potty s either there are real bathrooms here guys! Plenty of free parking that's organized, gift shop too. A family tradition to add for the fall.”

“My 10 year old niece and I accompanied my 5 year old son with his class field trip. They thoroughly enjoyed themselves so much that they asked could we return during the same week. While the kids loved the trampoline-like jumping pillow activity, I rather enjoyed the hayride along with walking through the corn maze.”

“Great time had here!!! Mitchell Farms is not just for the children. Adults should come early to enjoy the food and tour the property. Don't miss the peanut barn and get some blueberry lemonade. Beautiful pumpkins for your Fall decor. The Mitchell Family and their "Farm Hands" were so awesome.”

“From Jackson, (1 1/2 hour trip) it is an awesome place to visit. Took my 7 and 15 year old and all 3 of us had a blast, $12 each for admission. Well worth it for a full day of fun. We took home sunflowers and pumpkins. Beware though, nobody but us (it seemed) wore masks. Bring cash, sanitizer, and wetwipes to keep you and yours safe. You can only be accountable for yourselves here, not anyone else. Smiling faces at all areas of play. Everyone got along and all the kids played well together. Kids did not want to leave.”
