“We did a Friendsgiving-themed dinner and farm tour with two of our friends and it was so lovely. We purchased the event on their website (head’s up, they are popular and book out in advance!) and Fran was great about communicating what to expect and answering questions via email. We arrived at the farm at 3pm and Fran gave us a tour of their 50 acre farm that lasted about an hour. We started by walking through two large fields where they house sheep, goats, miniature horses, donkeys, guardian dogs, and a baby alpaca. Fran explained that all the animals are rescues and talked about the individual care they provided for them. I think these were the happiest farm animals I’ve ever seen - they were playful, social, and at ease. Fran also drove us on a Kaboda up the road to the hill where they keep highland cows, where we took a walk to visit them. Afterwards we took the Kaboda back down to the farm, where a beautiful table was set up in the barn, with heaters and a blanket on each seat (we were plenty warm). Chef Taylor prepared an incredible meal with ingredients that were harvested that day - appetizers, family-style sides, a red wine pairing, and dessert. Not exaggerating when I say it’s the best meal we had dining out all year. Fran served the dinner and we got to chat with her and Chef Taylor for a bit. They are an impressive couple that together have created a beautifully curated experience here. We wrapped up dinner close to 7pm and immediately looked at the calendar to see when we can book our next visit.”

“What a special evening! We attended an incredible chef’s dinner and film screening with Executive Chef Taylor Montgomery and Fran Montgomery. Many of us were sad when Taylor left Urban Wren, but this evening was a beautiful reminder that sometimes the best things happen when people choose to follow their own path. If you have the opportunity to attend one of these events, don’t miss it. Taylor’s food is not only delicious but thoughtfully crafted and beautifully presented—truly a work of art. The documentary The Soil Remembers was equally inspiring. It tells the story of Montgomery Farm and the Montgomery family, and it gave us a deeper appreciation for the passion, hard work, and courage behind their journey. Taylor stepped away from what many chefs spend their careers striving for so he could be true to himself and create on his own terms. And while Taylor’s talent is undeniable, it was impossible not to see how important Fran has been to this journey. Her support, vision, and partnership helped turn a dream into reality. Thank you, Taylor and Fran, for sharing your story, your passion, and an unforgettable evening with us.”

“I am continually inspired by Fran and Taylor at Montgomery Sky Farm. Fran’s love, care, and unwavering dedication to the rescue animals is deeply moving and truly life-giving. The way she shows up for these animals sets an incredibly high—and inspiring—standard of compassion and stewardship. Taylor’s approach to culinary dining is just as intentional and extraordinary. Every meal is thoughtfully attuned to the seasons, the land, and the natural rhythms of our local ecosystem—and the result is nothing short of wildly delicious. The dining experience feels soulful, grounded, and unforgettable. I cannot recommend booking a farm and dining experience enough. Montgomery Sky Farm is genuinely one of the best places you will ever visit. Thank you, Montgomery Sky Farm, for paving new ways of living, eating, and connecting—with nature, with animals, and with each other. See you again soon.”

“We had a truly wonderful time at the Farm! Fran is amazing and has done incredible work rescuing and caring for the animals. Many of the animals come with some tough stories but now are really living their best lives. All the animals ; donkeys, goats, sheep, mini horses, and a remarkably friendly Alpaca were wonderfully socialized. It felt like we were hanging out with the animals on their terms and however we were expected to deliver scratches on demand! The 2 Capybaras were awesome, it was amazing to interact with them!”

“What an amazing experience at Montgomery Sky Farm! We started with a farm tour. All of the animals we met seemed incredibly happy, and it was obvious Fran loved all of them. Dinner was truly one of the best meals we've had. Taylor is exceptionally talented, and it's amazing to eat vegetables which were picked across the street that morning. And the setting was beautiful. Their passion for animal rescue and food was clearly evident throughout our time there. We can't wait to go back!”
