Moorhead's Blueberry Farm

“This beautiful place is the kind of homegrown wholesomeness that every country song ever written references. No pesticides, no entry fee, no “bucket rental” nonsense; just honest people pointing you in the direction of the ripe ones and telling you to have fun! These pictures are this year’s haul. I was out there for an hour, soaked to the bone with bug spray and sweat, and picked 2.95lbs of blueberries. This was Memorial Day, which means that there was already a Saturday and Sunday of other folks picking. I did have to get up close and personal with the bushes, but it was worth it. In the bush rows amongst the fellow pickers of all ages, when you can’t resist sampling a BIG blueberry, you’ll know you’ve found a new summer tradition. You’ll see this place and holler (to quote the little boy in a bush row near me today), “JACKPOT!!!!” 🫐☀️”

“We absolutely loved our visit to the Blueberry Farm 🫐 It's a 15-acre farm one hour drive from Houston. When you come to the farm, they will give you a bucket. Whatever you collect in the bucket, will be weighed at the end and you will pay 3.75 per pound to take it home. The best part - you can eat unlimited while you're picking 🫐 The farm team is very nice and they even encourage you to try it out. They grow different varieties there, with some being more tart, and some - more sweet. We enjoyed it so much! The farm will celebrate its 50 years anniversary in 2027.”

“Fun, easy, delicious, friendly, worth going. It gets hot so go early, go late or leave the kiddos behind if you go during mid day. $3 / lb And the season starts at the end of May and goes to early July. There are a variety of blueberries, some are sweeter than others. Plenty of room for everyone and so many blueberries. Loved it! >> Update two years later it's $3.50 lb now and still just as fun!”

“This farm was so nice. They provide us buckets and then they put the berry in bags when they want to weigh them for paying. The blueberry were very delicious and I truly liked their taste. It was much better than ones in the store. Also the experience of being in farm and picking blueberries on my own was a very unique experience. We also bought their natural honey which has a high quality.”
