Before you go
A short checklist so the trip feels easy — especially helpful for first-time u-pick visits in California.
- Bring closed-toe shoes, sun protection, water, and containers unless the farm supplies them.
- Call or check the website for today’s picking conditions — mud, rain, and sold-out fields are common.
- Wear clothes you don’t mind getting stained; berry juice and field mud travel home with you.
- Cash still helps at smaller stands even when cards are accepted.

“We’ve been coming to Pa’s since we were kids and now bring our kids. We’ve been coming for over 20 years now. The new location is even bigger so it’s more roomy and way more to do. The food vendors are incredible and it’s fun for all ages. Even adults have fun! Yes there is a small entrance fee but that is no problem! Everywhere has an entrance fee and this is one of the cheapest entrance fees. There are so many mechanical rides!! More than most pumpkin patches. Our kids truly have a blast! There are also so many photo ops! I don’t know why people say you have to pay for them because you don’t. There was a “Photo Pop Up Activation” which you needed some tickets for but that was understandable as it was an activation. The rest were free and good old fashioned fun! There were a lot of cool carnival games to play! Something for everyone really! The pumpkins are beautiful also and they charge based on size and type of pumpkin which is to be expected. If you want your basic old ugly pumpkin, go to Ralph’s. Otherwise, you can find beautiful unique pumpkins here. Yes, there is no petting zoo but that’s okay. We asked the owner and they said the city does not allow it. So everyone needs to back off. People don’t know what the owners of these places have to deal with so it’s best not to assume and judge an amazing Patch because they don’t have a petting zoo. Petting Zoo’s are stinky anyways! Silver lining! Who wants a Petting Zoo when you’re eating a juicy turkey leg?! Nostalgia at its finest! WE LOVE supporting small business who provide jobs to locals and bring business to the city! It’s good for everyone! The other reviews are not accurate and that’s a bummer.”

“I've been coming to pa's since I was a baby. Over 30+ years! Although they moved to a new location this year, I still enjoyed myself! Sometimes change is good, I love the vibe!!! I've gone twice already and my niece and nephew had sooooo much fun!! Lines move fast and if you go on the weekdays it's not as busy as the weekend. There's plenty of parking right next to the patch. This year it's on asphalt not dirt, but it didn't bother me. In fact I love that I didn't need a car wash after visiting lol, that dirt was insane! There are new food vendors this year and they're amazing! I love the la taqueria truck and the Lou's pizza! The funnel cake/popcorn vendor is still the same as the last 17+ years, love that. Check website or social media to see when live music will be playing, so cool!!! We all had so much fun on the slides and took so many great photos in the new photo ops which made up for no petting zoo which I'm assuming they couldnt have because of the new location.....they have actual tables with benches so you don't have to sit on hay anymore ! Love that! And now there's super cute MERCH from threads of two you can buy, the sweaters and shirts are actually really good quality - highly recommend!!! The entrance fee for adults and 13 and up is 5$ and kids are 2.50. Parking is free still. I really love what they did with the new location, don't listen to the bad reviews!!!!!! I'll keep coming here every year! Same owner since I was a little baby! I left with great pumpkins of all shapes, sizes and colors and yummy kettle corn. Can't wait to come back before Halloween! 10000/10 HIGHLY RECOMMEND! Come on the weekdays!!!!”

“It's understood that in today's structure everything comes with a cost. Pa's Pumpkin Patch is no exception. I was going to write a long breakdown of the failures of this place (a fee to enter, fee for attractions, risky rides, surly employees, overpriced pumpkins) but I wasted enough time on this place and one minute more ain't worth it. The only reason I wrote this is to hopefully save other families from wasting what little time, money, and other resources on this pay to play patch. Try El Dorado Frontier...at least you'll get access to the whole park.”

“They change the rules whenever they want one day my son can get on rides and the next he wasn’t tall enough. Made me spend the $62 10 for entry and 52 for the wristband for no reason pretty much because my son was not allowed on anything and they have a no refund policy. Also mimis kitchen charged me for a pumpkin pie and nachos and never gave me the pie and said they didn’t charge me the pie when I got home I checked my account and they charged me for both. So yea got scammed from both the food vendors and the pumpkin patch. They should at least post that toddlers aren’t allowed on any rides. La taqueria tacos were good but I’ve eating from there taco trucks before always good.”

“I’d give ZERO stars if possible, was really looking forward to this however I was scammed out of money for ONE over charged at the door. SECOND I purchased TWO carnival wristbands for my kids and the employees scanned it multiple times and wasted our credits when I reloaded all of sudden there was ZERO credits on the wristband ! Talked to someone who seemed to be in charge and she was no help returned like two credits after I paid for more. It’s a scam, this place sucks would NEVER return. Save your money take the drive to far better pumpkin patches.”

“I’m very disappointed with our visit to Pa’s Pumpkin Patch. The staff were rude and unfriendly, especially toward families with kids. They kept changing rules on the spot — what was allowed one minute became “not allowed” the next, and they spoke to children in a harsh, disrespectful way. The atmosphere felt tense instead of festive. We came for a fun family outing, but left upset. Definitely not a place I’d recommend for families.”

“They kicked my son out of a game because they said they explained the rules to them and he touched the tape on the floor. Rules for little kids that can barely understand is crazy. To top it off i asked the girl working why they kicked him out and she gives me attitude. Definitely not Autism friendly”
