“Worth visiting with family! We had a great time”
“My family and I found this place en route to the Ozarks for a camping trip, and we didn’t leave with a taste of Arkansas welcome when we left. There was a miscommunication about “pick only what you can buy.” We had $16 and weren’t sure how many peaches that would buy, thinking they would sell the extras and that we’d just saved them the labor of picking them. After what I thought was a kind exchange at the counter, the boss man threatened to call the sheriff on us if we didn’t pay for the peaches we picked. (Half were off the ground anyway because they were the ripest.) The sheriff doesn’t need this and neither did I. It’s 2025. Get a Venmo and don’t threaten to call the sheriff on a mom with two kids. I’m a food-and-travel writer who was eager to have found such a great little spot, and now I’m warning others to be prepared for rough customer service.”
