What you can pick

In October, check what’s currently ripe before you go. Seasons below are typical windows for Pennsylvania, not a guarantee for this exact farm.

Before you go

A short checklist so the trip feels easy — especially helpful for first-time u-pick visits in Pennsylvania.

  • Bring closed-toe shoes, sun protection, water, and containers unless the farm supplies them.
  • Call or check the website for today’s picking conditions — mud, rain, and sold-out fields are common.
  • Wear clothes you don’t mind getting stained; berry juice and field mud travel home with you.
  • Cash still helps at smaller stands even when cards are accepted.

“This is our favorite local berry farm. The berries are sweet, the prices are great, and the folks are friendly! I'd recommend stopping by to pick for a few minutes or all day! If you don't have your own bucket, you can buy one there for a reasonable price. They are located very close to I-81 exit 219 so it's very easy on and off if you're coming from the highway. No summer is complete without at least one trip (and hopefully more) to pick blueberries at the Penn-Can!”

“wonderful spot for picking berries. the man that owns the place was incredibly kind. his berries were absolutely delicious. it was so hard to not eat while picking them. I highly recommend this little patch of heaven on Earth. prices were very reasonable. they also offered fresh jam and eggs. oh and the lily pond was really very beautiful! I will likely be back at least once more before the season ends. go here and I promise you'll not be disappointed!”

“This place is wonderful. Bushes have always been full and delicious tasting. The family is super kind and I would definitely recommend picking your blueberries here or calling ahead and having them pick for you. When you are lucky enough to get raspberries they are extremely delicious also.”

“Was here Thursday and met the owner Mike. He is so nice and the place is so clean. We got lucky and were able to get a pocketful of blueberries. We also bought some eggs and saw the beautiful chickens that roam freely on the farm. Will definitely be back.”

“The biggest and juiciest blueberries we’ve ever had, and the owners were friendly and wonderful. Absolutely recommend, and our kids loved it!”
