Before you go

A short checklist so the trip feels easy — especially helpful for first-time u-pick visits in Kentucky.

  • Bring closed-toe shoes, sun protection, water, and containers unless the farm supplies them.
  • Call or check the website for today’s picking conditions — mud, rain, and sold-out fields are common.
  • Wear clothes you don’t mind getting stained; berry juice and field mud travel home with you.
  • Cash still helps at smaller stands even when cards are accepted.

“Awesome place to get pumpkins and have some fun. They use an honor system for their payments so after picking your pumpkins you go to the door where you can then pay through multiple apps or a box for cash. What's awesome is all the free and fun games like playing connect four, shooting basketball, or letting your kids play in the bouncy houses. They also have a corn maze. It's not free but it's not expensive either. Great place for pumpkins and family entertainment. The kids and us loved it.”

“Im going to be honest we drove by at first and didn't stop because it didn't look like much from the street but we turned around and decided to stop and so glad we did. The kids had a lot of fun. They had a jumpy house, corn maze, great pumpkins at great prices and a ton of super cute photo-op set up's. It was worth the drive for the photos for me!”

“We get our pumpkins here every year! They are friendly and have a great selection of gourds of all sizes. They also construct Fall inspired photo sets so you can always remember picking out pumpkins with your little pumpkins! Quite charming and reasonably priced. Happy Holidays!”

“We had a great time here! There’s a large variety of pumpkins and gourds in all sorts of different colors. The owner is very kind and the environment he created is truly one of a kind. My mom says it’s a magical place!”

“Had a great time!😄 Did the corn maze and petted the animals they had. Bought several pumpkins 🎃 for Halloween. Great turnout of folks, too.”

“We visit the Penny Pumpkin Patch every year for Halloween. Friendly folks and huge pumpkin selection along with a corn maze.”

“My kids LOVED it. And we did too. I live that they have things they could play with/in a well”

“We’ve been going to Penny Pumpkin Patch for a few years and loved going! The kids would have fun picking out pumpkins, petting animals (if they were there) and going through the corn maze. This year we planned to attend their Super Saturday event this Saturday 10/14/2023. Their post for the event states $15 for admission and $20 for the corn maze race. I messaged them Sunday 10/8/2023 to clarify if it’s $15 per person or for the whole family. Never received a message back so I called their phone number and spoke with a guy that told me it was $15 for the whole family which includes the hayride, petting zoo, corn maze (not the race) and others. Then I receive a message from Penny Pumpkin Patch last night (10/12/2023) telling me it’s per person. When I informed them that I was told by a guy on the phone Tuesday that it was $15 for the whole family, I got told “Idk who you spoke with but it’s always been $15 a person for the last 3 years and we can’t charge one family one thing and not the other.” Mind you I’ve never heard of this to begin with from ANYONE that I know that’s lived here in Murray longer than I have (which has been since 2018). So instead of honoring what I was told, it’s pretty much screw you. They have lost my business unless something changes.”
