What you can pick
In October, check what’s currently ripe before you go. Seasons below are typical windows for Kansas, not a guarantee for this exact farm.
Before you go
A short checklist so the trip feels easy — especially helpful for first-time u-pick visits in Kansas.
- Bring closed-toe shoes, sun protection, water, and containers unless the farm supplies them.
- Call or check the website for today’s picking conditions — mud, rain, and sold-out fields are common.
- Arrive earlier in the day for cooler weather and better selection during peak weekends.
- Payment notes on file: Mastercard. Cash still helps at smaller stands.

“Lavender Daze was awesome! Baked goods, coffee, cocktails-all lavender themed! Pretty field and lots of butterflies. Shady spots to sit by water or in garden to relax and lots of cooking and body products as well as yummy candles! Highly recommend!”

“We bought a 7-8 foot tree for the ridiculous price of $179 because tradition is important and we had two grandchildren along. Also, and this is important, I’ve had excellent luck with the trees lasting through the New Year in the past, so I talked the group into doing it. The service is always outstanding here, as well. But, the tree selection was just horrible this year, and the trees lacked in depth and width. They didn’t look like they were premium. I actually felt like they tagged at least $60 onto the trees. It’s enough to cause us to create a new tradition next year :( :(. We also missed the horse carriage ride - (he’s retired, they said.) I hate to write this review but it’s how I feel, even though I supported local business.”

“Went there with my daughter, (we hardly see eachother) so we were taking me and her pictures in front of the pond with a tripod so we can get both get in this picture. We'll this Karen came down and said we can't take pictures, when we saw many people take pictures. Then she just stood there like she wanted to watch us. She finally left. I'll never never go back...n the United States, taking photographs of private property is generally protected by the First Amendment, provided the photographer is in a public space or on property where they have legal permission to be.”

“My daughter saw the play. She pointed out that the portrayal of the blind girl was offensive. I realize the play was based on a 1966 movie and the way people with disabilities were viewed has improved since then but that doesn’t make it right.”
