Before you go
A short checklist so the trip feels easy — especially helpful for first-time u-pick visits in California.
- Bring closed-toe shoes, sun protection, water, and containers unless the farm supplies them.
- Call or check the website for today’s picking conditions — mud, rain, and sold-out fields are common.
- Wear clothes you don’t mind getting stained; berry juice and field mud travel home with you.
- Cash still helps at smaller stands even when cards are accepted.

“This is the first pumpkin patch we have ever been to and we really enjoyed it! We went this weekend and it was so busy. The main parking lot can get full fast; there is overflow parking at the church if you need it. Everyone wore masks and kept their distance. The admission is free, which is awesome especially if you are on a budget! There are lots of pretty photo-ops everywhere. Other things to do are the hayride, train station, corn maze, and the petting zoo. I think the attractions range from $2 per person, $4 per kid with 1 free adult for the petting zoo--an extra dollar to feed the goats. You can also pick/buy your own pumpkins and sunflowers.”

“How cool that even with most pumpkin patches closed, we still were able to visit here in Bonita. It was the simple things that made it fun. The corn maze, the hay ride, and the goats. We did social distancing and everyone had to wear a mask, so that was good. This pumpkin patch is good for all ages. There is also plenty of parking. I came at daytime and also at night. You can only do hay ride and corn maze during the day so keep that in mind when planning your visit.”

“Such a cute pumpkin patch! We drove from San Marcos and was worth the trip! Not crowded pumpkins were individually priced! Nothing crazy and they had a good and coffee stand outside. Cute petting zoo and train ride my daughter loved! Only $4 to get on. Will definitely be returning”

“This pumpkin patch is one of my favorites! Great pumpkin selection, friendly staff and fun activities for the kids. My daughter and I enjoyed the sunflower field, it was great to be able to pick our own and take photos in the field.”

“Great for kids! Reasonable price of $10-$20 per pumpkin (and really nice ones as well) Understandable pricing for hay rides, petting zoo, etc. Wish the corn maze was cheaper... but hey! Beggers can't be choosers. Free admission which was great! Not for the Insta influencers place FYI :) But overall, if you got little kids, it's perfect! The workers can be a little grumpy, but hey! In this SD weather of 80's, I kinda don't blame them.”

“Absolutely not!!! ZERO sunflowers. Petting "zoo" was just goats. Pay 5$ per kid to pet goats, and parents have to stay behind hay piles (in the heat as today was hotttt), which is not close enough to take pics or talk to your kids. 3 stars because admission is free, but with that free admission you only get to walk the sunflower field that has no flowers, or look at pre-picked pumpkins. Do yourself a favor and drive an hr north for a much better deal.”

“a lot of nice places to take pictures, there is hay ride, train ride for kids, corn maze but its super expensive and when you buy ticket for goats they do not tell you there is a time limit and its not written anywhere they kick you out whether you are done with your goat food or not but there is no timer or clock so how do you know how much time you have left? and staff is kind of rude”
