Before you go
A short checklist so the trip feels easy — especially helpful for first-time u-pick visits in Texas.
- Bring closed-toe shoes, sun protection, water, and containers unless the farm supplies them.
- Call or check the website for today’s picking conditions — mud, rain, and sold-out fields are common.
- Wear clothes you don’t mind getting stained; berry juice and field mud travel home with you.
- Cash still helps at smaller stands even when cards are accepted.

“THE BEST PUMPKIN PATCH IN DALLAS 🎃 !! I love visiting St James for their annual pumpkin patch every year! All pumpkin purchases go back to the church and their organization. They allow pets, and photographers without any payment to enter. Overall it’s a pretty inexpensive fall activity for the family for a great cause !”
“We had just googled pumpkin patches close to us, and found this gem of a place. It was perfect for the family, people are super nice, and they had places to play for the kids in addition to the pumpkin patch. We will be back next year!”
“Kind people, huge variety of pumpkins, and great prices !! I really didn’t expect the affordability - next year I’ll be back and I’ll be buying a ton 😊”
