Before you go

A short checklist so the trip feels easy — especially helpful for first-time u-pick visits in Missouri.

  • Bring closed-toe shoes, sun protection, water, and containers unless the farm supplies them.
  • Call or check the website for today’s picking conditions — mud, rain, and sold-out fields are common.
  • Wear clothes you don’t mind getting stained; berry juice and field mud travel home with you.
  • Cash still helps at smaller stands even when cards are accepted.

“Best Pumpkin patch around. Great Vibes, Atmosphere, and PUMPKINS! Pumpkin Valley always has the biggest selection of pumpkins, ranging from little pumpkins for the littles and huge pumpkins you can barely lift to the car, they provide wagons. not every play station requires a ticket, didn't use all your tickets? No problem! trade them in as credits towards a pumpkin!.. This would be the 4th year I have taken my family to Pumpkin Valley. We absolutely love it here. The Hay rides, Petting Zoo, Train ride, and Pony rides are a must! The snack/vendor area is awesome too cause I could let the kids run and play while I sat at a table watching the KC football game! Great place to let them kids run free and play! No hovering needed (for 5-16y/o). I will always recommend Pumpkin Valley over any in the area!”

“Plan to spend the evening here, roast hotdogs yourself over the campfire, then picnic in a giant teepee, go for the best hay rack ride ever. In the middle of Lee’s Summit, feels like far into the countryside and long ago nostalgic horse heaven. See deer and turkeys, little petting zoo. Magical”

“Such a peaceful, family friendly pumpkin patch! Prices on pumpkins you won't beat them. Hayride was great & was cool to be in the pasture with the horses! Our first time there and we will definitely be back! 🎃”

“We had an amazing 20 year high school reunion here at the ranch. The hay ride was amazing with a view of a field of horses and the baby goats were so adorable. Definitely recommend!”

“This place is great. We will be going back every year. It wasn't crowded on a Sunday afternoon and they have a lot of things for kids to do there. The animals were so cute!”

“Not worth the price. I don’t think adults should be $15 since we don’t do any of the activities. Anything actually fun like a pointy ride or hay ride is an addition $3 per person which just seems like way too much. It should be. It’s should be $5 then you pay for ride tickets.”

“Unfortunately, I was let down by this place definitely overrated for price. The hayride does not last 20 minutes maybe 10. You have to pay extra for the hayride and a pony ride and pay for your pumpkins on top of the $15 admission. There is no hay maze it’s just pallets stood up that even my three-year-old son could see over. And there is no actual pumpkin patch you just choose from the pumpkins they have on display and ours rotted before we even had them a week so now we have to go buy our kids new pumpkins.”

“For the price I paid was expecting more. Pumpkins were already picked not in a field as I remembered. The "corn maze" was tiny and so dead I could see threw it all. Everything was geared twords very small children and the doughnuts while decent was not worth 18 dollars for a single dozen. Definitely won't be back or recommend”
