A short checklist so the trip feels easy — especially helpful for first-time u-pick visits in Colorado.
- Check whether this stop is a stand, orchard tour, or full farm experience before you arrive.
- Call or check the website for today’s picking conditions — mud, rain, and sold-out fields are common.
- Arrive earlier in the day for cooler weather and better selection during peak weekends.
- Cash still helps at smaller stands even when cards are accepted.

“I cannot say enough good things about this place! We have lived in Lafayette for years and I have driven past this adorable farm thousands of times, but never stopped in. We were trying to find a spot to do my daughter's senior pictures and I saw that they had fields of gorgeous flowers. We stopped in and asked if they would mind if we snapped a few photos and they not only allowed it, but gave us recommendations of where to go on the property. The best part? We were about to personally curate a hand picked bouquet to take home as part of the process. Maria was the sweetest. Prices were extremely reasonable and our flowers came out to a little over $4! We did not buy anything from the farm stand this time, but the produce selection was amazing! Some of the largest, healthy Bell peppers I've ever seen! We will definitely be back to this adorable local gem before the end of the season! Thank you Red Wagon Farm!”

“I stop here regularly to pick up the great potatoes, onions, and tomatoes. (I typically get greens from my farmer friend at the farmers market. Otherwise, I would get them here too.) Today I saw the “Pick your own flowers” sign and I am so glad that I did! The prices are very fair, much better than other places I have been. And what a joy it was to spend some time walking through the fields and seeing the pollinators and picking out some flowers. Now I have beauty in my home for all week! Definitely check out this place. They are nice people with great products.”

“I just stopped by over the weekend and I was impressed with the variety and quality of produce! Much better selection than the previous farm that was in the space. They had samples of the tomatoes out and they were very sweet and good, and I got a purple cauliflower with no blemishes on it (difficult to find in regular grocery stores!). They seem to only have produce from local farms, so will likely have more veggies than fruits year-round. Prices were a tiny bit more than King Soopers but much higher quality so it was worth it for me.”

“Simple, but great. Good variety of produce and mushrooms. U-pick flowers when in season at a reasonable price. Honey and other items there as well. If you want quality produce, this place has it. Sure, you'll pay a bit more. However, it's much higher quality than the stores.”
