A short checklist so the trip feels easy — especially helpful for first-time u-pick visits in Wisconsin.

  • Bring closed-toe shoes, sun protection, water, and containers unless the farm supplies them.
  • Call or check the website for today’s picking conditions — mud, rain, and sold-out fields are common.
  • Arrive earlier in the day for cooler weather and better selection during peak weekends.
  • Cash still helps at smaller stands even when cards are accepted.

“The longest list of apples varieties, which I saw in my life. And you can buy or assemble directly from the tree ($ 30 for 1/2 bushel). The owner is 92 year old, and he works every day, and his sister works in the store. They also have a fresh apple cider, isabella grapes, pumpkins, cabbage, squash, etc. But the main thing it is a real farm. These are real fruits. These are real people. It is worth a visit and try different varieties directly in the refrigerator repository and buy home and for friends so much that your entire car will smell like an apple. We loved the farm and now our ford expedition is full of apples which we are planning to present to our Los Angeles friends.”

“Pick your own apples and pumpkins. This is the second year we have gone there. The kids love it. Talked to Rex for a bit. He is a great guy with a generous heart who loves growing apples. We will be back next year! Update: we came back again this year and it was just as fun. We had the grandkids their and they loved it Rex was there and chatted for a bit. We tried a new variety of apple which tasted amazing.”

“Quiet apple farm with many varieties to pick. Main varieties grown include Courtland Regent McIntosh red delicious and Honeycrisp. Prices for U-Pick are $20 as per half bushel of any varieties. Other varieties are available for sale from a large cooler room in the store. Very friendly people.”

“Amazing apple cider and has a nice variety of apples. I would recommend this place to anyone in the area. If you have never had a fresh picked apple then you are missing out but this is definitely the place to go to get them.”

“Rex has some of the sweetest, tastiest apples I have ever had, opals included. But....you have to know apples. His regents are unique and bursting with flavor! Absolutely outstanding.”

“Harder to find than I expected, but well worth it. They have several different kinds of apples, squash available (including reasonably priced pumpkins) and will even take a check for the amount of purchase, as well as good-ol' American cash. Got Regents and Cortlands, and they let me try a fresh slice of each rather than trying to describe them. Also had Concord grapes, tho I didn't buy any this time around. Ten pounds of fresh apples and three pumpkins for just $22. Great deal, worth getting off the interstate a couple of miles for. It is not a big kiddie attraction, but not designed to be. Just fresh, healthful fall harvest.”

“My must stop place during apple season. The only place I've ever found that sells Regent apples. I've only purchased from store, never picked. Have also purchased huge heads of green and red cabbage, squash, and cauliflower. Nothing fancy here, just a small refrigerated room in the barn, but the best apples. They got one of the oldest cider presses in the country.”

“A terrible experience. If you want to pick strawberries I would recommend going elsewhere. They assign you to picked over rows and get mad when you pass over small, less desirable berries claiming that you’re only picking the biggest, best strawberries. Why in the heck would you pay for “u-pick” and be told what you can pick?”
