Before you go
A short checklist so the trip feels easy — especially helpful for first-time u-pick visits in Pennsylvania.
- Bring closed-toe shoes, sun protection, water, and containers unless the farm supplies them.
- Call or check the website for today’s picking conditions — mud, rain, and sold-out fields are common.
- Arrive earlier in the day for cooler weather and better selection during peak weekends.
- Cash still helps at smaller stands even when cards are accepted.

What visitors say

“It's nestled in a glorious riot of autumn colors. An enchanting doggie greets you with a ball to play fetch with before you enter the building to purchase your goodies. There are jams and jellies, popcorn and other treats besides the stars; apples and apple cider 🍎 I purchased several bags of different types of apples and a gallon jug of cider. I have the last batch of applesauce in my crockpot now! 🤤”
“As out of town guests, we were welcomed in & felt like locals as soon as we arrived at Rocky Ridge Orchard. The owners & staff were helpful, generous & attentive. Our children enjoyed seeing the ducks, chickens, horses & the farm dog too! The other patrons were just as happy as we were. Wish we could give it 10 stars⭐️”
“I love their selection of apples and , their jars of canned goods are so delicious. We got their and , not much variety of apples left . People pretty much bought them out . But , I did get a few jars of the canned goods . Of course I had to get my Apple butter . 😊”
“We love Rocky Ridge Orchards. They have a great little family owned store there that has jelly and jams and honey and fresh produce. Me and my wife love stopping here.”
“Beautiful farm and lovely people. Kids had a blast and the apples, donuts and cider were delicious!”
“Best Apple cider around!! Also have the best caramel apples!!”
“Cute place. Disappointed their social media said they were open and listed the dates the different apples would be ready only to arrive and find only the store was open. Unfortunate 40 minute drive.”
“Didn’t have any apples to pick and didn’t update website or Facebook to let you know.. waste of drive waste of time..”
