Before you go
A short checklist so the trip feels easy — especially helpful for first-time u-pick visits in Connecticut.
- Check whether this stop is a stand, orchard tour, or full farm experience before you arrive.
- Call or check the website for today’s picking conditions — mud, rain, and sold-out fields are common.
- Wear clothes you don’t mind getting stained; berry juice and field mud travel home with you.
- Cash still helps at smaller stands even when cards are accepted.

“I've gone here twice now on separate years one being this year 2023 and it's always AWESOME!! So much to do little things and big things! You don't really have to worry about dangerous stuff for the kids everything is kind friendly the hot cider and popcorn were 🔥 fire this year! Also the corn maze was excellent this year gave my husband and I some fun actually having to help!! The people there to help are everywhere and approach you so you're not running around trying to find someone to ask a question or two. Only 6 dollars a person is definitely a fair price for all of the activities. I love that they're local and by going you're supporting locals”

“Maybe change the name, considering it's not Berry Scary. Pumpkins were nice this year. My mother had a somewhat difficult time trekking out with us to get the pumpkins because she has a cane, and my stepfather had to stay back and miss out. It was much easier when they had the tractor take us out instead of the long walk, and everyone was able to participate.”

“The best strawberry jelly I’ve ever had! We love this farm. I’ve been coming here since I was a little girl. Now that I have my own family we moved to Pennsylvania but we visit home a few times a year. We always make it a priority to stop here when they are open. So much funny and feels like home!”

“I bring my kids (3-14) here every year. There are many games to play, lots of acreage to walk around, a food truck and picnic tables, a small "haunted" walk through, a huge corn maze, bon fires, and nice bathrooms. Love this place!”

“As always, we had a wonderful time picking out our pumpkins, conquering the corn maze, and enjoying all the fun activities. Our annual trip to Ruwet’s Berry Scary Acres is truly one of our favorite family traditions!”

“This place was a lot of fun and had a lot of activities to do. My toddler enjoyed her time here . She kept going back to the little giant gameboard section , but everything else was lovely too. Even the little haunted house. It was perfect for my Halloween obsessed daughter.”
