Before you go
A short checklist so the trip feels easy — especially helpful for first-time u-pick visits in Texas.
- Bring closed-toe shoes, sun protection, water, and containers unless the farm supplies them.
- Call or check the website for today’s picking conditions — mud, rain, and sold-out fields are common.
- Wear clothes you don’t mind getting stained; berry juice and field mud travel home with you.
- Cash still helps at smaller stands even when cards are accepted.

“Wow, this is a must see patch. My three kids and I had the best experience. There were so much to do and all of the staff was so friendly and helpful. I love that when we checked in they recommended that I put a phone number on my kids wristbands in the event that they are lost. My child is special needs and sometimes can wander so this really touched my heart. My kids loved the bouncing, the seesaw, the hayride, and the slides. There were so much to do and the music was awesome. I only wish I had come earlier in the day to enjoy lunch, but we did have amazing coffee. As we were leaving one of the staff members offered to take a picture for us which was so sweet. Then as we were walking out, I had to tell my daughter to throw away her hot cocoa because we can’t have it in the car and she got a little sad. He overheard her name and said Margot come with me and offered her a free pumpkin. I 1000% will be back again with my family and will recommend this place to everyone. Thank you to that staff member and all the other staff members who made this day so special.🧡”

“This place was great! It was a convenient halfway point for us and my in-laws, and honestly, the hour and a half drive was totally worth it. There were lots of little activities to enjoy—things like washers and seesaws (which even the adults had fun on!). The giant inflatable area was a hit with the kids, and there were photo ops everywhere you looked. The corn maze was more of a casual walk-through than a challenge, but it was still fun for the kids and us. It would’ve been nice to have an enclosed area where kids could interact with animals up close, but I get why they keep it to feeding through the fence—especially with the big crowds. Still, the kids had a great time feeding them. I was really impressed with how short the wait times were for everything, considering how many people were there. They also had food available with a decent variety of options, though we didn’t try any since we had dinner plans elsewhere. All in all, I’d definitely recommend this place. We had a great day and spent a solid 2–3 hours there!”

“This is such a cute place! There was something for everyone to enjoy, and my daughter especially loved interacting with the animals. There was a huge selection of pumpkins and prices were reasonable. It’s a huge place, so make sure you wear comfortable shoes and bring a bottle of water. There are concessions available and prices are about what you’d expect. Most of the attractions are in the shade; it was almost 90 when we went and we did not get overly hot. Lots of really cute spots set up for family photos, and every staff member we interacted with was super friendly; a few offered to take pictures for us. The hay ride is really short and just drives you through an open field. Not really worth it if you have to wait in line for it, but kids enjoyed it. My daughter has already asked if we can return later in the season, and I think we will - everyone had a great time and we will likely make this a yearly thing :)”

“We visited Shadow Creek Pumpkin Farm last week and we were beyond excited! It was my children’s first time and I can tell you for sure that my toddler enjoyed it A LOT! His favorite part were the farm animals, having a chance to feed them made him very happy (he spent more than 30mins there). They also have many cute photo ops and there’s entertainment for all ages, if you’re looking for a chance to connect and spend time with your family, this place certainly sets the environment for that. It has everything, but if I could suggest a pony ride would make it perfect 😅 Let me also add that everything is super organized, no crowds, the staff is very kind and helpful you can tell they really care about customers satisfaction 🥰 If you’re planning on going my advice would be to go with enough time to enjoy everything without rushing, we arrived 2 hours before closing time and we needed more time.”

“My family and I went this past weekend 10/23/21 We had a blast! There was something for everyone. My husband and son enjoyed the food vendors. My girls absolutely enjoyed the double swing! We drove over an hour to come see this place and it was WAY WORTH IT!! We’ll definitely be coming again. You can’t beat the price and all the family can do. Free parking! So many spots for pictures! We didn’t even get to stop by the animals this time but I know it was great seeing that many other children were in excitement coming from that area. There was the obvious things you’d pay for like purchasing pumpkins or ace throwing but again even with those prices it was good! I hope they keep the same one price for all you-can-do Beautiful Farm ❤️”

“Fun place to have fun and engage in activities with your family! We went back in October, a couple months after moving to Texas from California. While we moved from California for almost every reason imaginable, I was starting to get a little ‘homesick’. We’d go to Underwood Farms in Moorpark every fall there; so, I decided to see what kind of pumpkin patches were around us. Shadow Creek doesn’t disappoint! There’s so much to do including axe throwing, a petting zoo, giant slides, bounce houses, and a corn maze! We got to see some longhorns up close and eat the best donuts in the world. We didn’t even pick any pumpkins because we got too distracted with everything else.”

“Went today for our annual pumpkin patch photo day and had a great time enjoying all the fall things and getting lots of pictures. Very family friendly event and great price - $12 for access to all the basic activities and all the areas. (A few activities that require materials you have to pay extra for and of course food and drinks and taking pumpkins home - but you can pretty much enjoy the full thing without spending any money - all we spent was 5-6 bucks each on pumpkins.)”
