Before you go

A short checklist so the trip feels easy — especially helpful for first-time u-pick visits in California.

  • Bring closed-toe shoes, sun protection, water, and containers unless the farm supplies them.
  • Call or check the website for today’s picking conditions — mud, rain, and sold-out fields are common.
  • Wear clothes you don’t mind getting stained; berry juice and field mud travel home with you.
  • Cash still helps at smaller stands even when cards are accepted.

What visitors say

“We had such a wonderful time at this pumpkin patch! The whole place is incredibly photogenic. There are so many cute and creative photo spots. There are also some farm animals. Every corner feels like it was designed for great pictures. The pumpkins were vibrant and plentiful, and the staff was super friendly and welcoming. Whether you’re going with family, friends, or a date, this place is the ultimate fall photo destination. Entry fee for this place is 16$ adult/child and includes 1 pumpkin. Kids under 2 are free, i guess. They do have Pomegranate farm adjacent to patch which offers U pick for 2$/lb. Overall an amazing experience.”

“Easy parking, a lot of hands-on activities for kids, bales for climbing, Miwok village...plenty of space! They also had portable bathrooms and several wash stations. The farm had tables where we ate our own packed lunch. Was fun, will definitely repeat. It's a bit overwhelming when there are a lot of kids, so I would recommend 1 adult per toddler/preschooler (at least my active kids required the support!)”

“A wonderful small market with a variety of farm fresh produce of fruits and vegetables. Reasonably priced. Friendly staff. The Christmas tree lot is open now and they have a large selection of Noble and Douglas Firs in a variety of sizes. The Country Store sells Christmas tree decors and wreaths. Hot cocoa is sold and the big outside fire pit would be a great place to drink it and keep warm.”

“Great pumpkin patch! It has corn maze, pumpkin patch, little zoo, live music, and much more Entrance fee 16 per adults and children over 2. You get free pumpkin with the ticket. Great atmosphere!”

“We visited Smith Family Farm for the pumpkin patch and fall activities and had a great time. Picking out our own pumpkins and making our way through the corn maze was a lot of fun. It is not just for kids either, adults will enjoy it too. Each person received their own pumpkin with the price of admission, which was a nice touch. Seedlings were also included and given out as part of admission. There was live music, animals you could pet, food trucks, and a small local vendor fair, all of which added to the festive atmosphere. It was definitely busy, but parking and crowds were handled really well, making the experience smooth and enjoyable. Everything felt well organized and welcoming. This might just become our new fall tradition. It is great to have such a special place right in our own backyard.”
