Before you go
A short checklist so the trip feels easy — especially helpful for first-time u-pick visits in Virginia.
- Bring closed-toe shoes, sun protection, water, and containers unless the farm supplies them.
- Call or check the website for today’s picking conditions — mud, rain, and sold-out fields are common.
- Wear clothes you don’t mind getting stained; berry juice and field mud travel home with you.
- Cash still helps at smaller stands even when cards are accepted.

“This is a great opportunity to get into the pumpkin season with your family while enjoying the fall weather. This is run by a local family and I had the pleasure of meeting the owner/father/husband today who helped my friends and myself with a flat tire. He took time out of his day to lend a hand. Chivalry is alive and well and we are so thankful for the assist. Please drop by and support this local business because they are good people!!!!”

“Such a fun and unique place to go in the fall! We always look forward to the pumpkin patch opening because they have everything you could want for kids to enjoy. Bounce house, inflatable slides, pick-your-own pumpkin, face painting, hay rides, and I'm sure I'm missing something! They have special prices for birthday parties too. Definitely worth checking out at least once!”

“Friendly. Kids love it. The tractor ride is OK. Pull you on trailer w hay. Owners are so nice. Right off of Timberlake Rd it's where we've gone for 3 years.”

“It certainly was loved by my grandsons and the price was decent $10 a child and $2 for adults for the hayride. Close to their home an added benefit. The hayride was not the best ,he warned us of branches hanging over but they could have trimmed them back. Sitting on low hay bales was difficult getting up for this grandma too. Not a lot of parking but when the lot gets full that's enough people. Started getting crowded.”

“The worst pumpkin patch I’ve ever been to! I was only there 5 minutes! The bouncy houses are dirty inside and out and they want the kids to take their shoes off. Make it make sense! There are wayyyyy better pumpkin patches out there!! Don’t waste your time! It needs to be shutdown!”
