Before you go
A short checklist so the trip feels easy — especially helpful for first-time u-pick visits in New Jersey.
- Bring closed-toe shoes, sun protection, water, and containers unless the farm supplies them.
- Call or check the website for today’s picking conditions — mud, rain, and sold-out fields are common.
- Wear clothes you don’t mind getting stained; berry juice and field mud travel home with you.
- Cash still helps at smaller stands even when cards are accepted.

“This place is a slice of heaven. So big, with large, beautiful grounds filled with ponds and fields of flowers next to the the orchards. You pay 8 dollars (maybe 10?) to access the orchards, but it includes a ten minute insanely beautiful hayride that I can't recommend enough. Its a leisurely ride through actual heaven, riding two feet next to fields of corn and pumpkins, sunflowers, and turtle filled ponds with wildflowers growing along them. Everyone working there is so nice and clearly so passionate about this place. The Golden Delicious apples in particular were abundant and one of the best apples I've ever tasted. I cut my own flowers in a quiet peaceful flower field. I love it here so much, oh my god lol. There is also a woman selling stunning yarn work for very fair prices (table runners and place mats). Absolutely go here this fall, it's a refreshing pace from some of the other local farms that charge a lot more and seem to not really care about the customer experience (like charging you to even get into the market, this place luckily doesn't do that).”

“Stumbled on Stone Tavern Orchard by accident, while picking Sunflowers at Holland Ridge Farms I openly commented how I wanted to do a second apple picking just because.. Well a gentlemen that works in Holland Ridge highly recommended Stone Tavern & he was absolutely spot on ! What a true gem of an orchard this happens to be. The hay ride was so nice & what a view as you're being dropped off it was ! First time we've ever been to a Pumpkin Patch & had just so much fun. Loads of pumpkins in every shape/size & the colors were amazing ! The Apple orchard is small in comparison to the ones I usually go to but was really nice & not crowed at all, just so relaxing. They also have 2 corn mazes for adults & kids. The photo ops are truly endless ! If you're looking for a fabulous family day out, do yourself a favor & visit Holland Ridge then Stone Tavern, you'll definitely be happy you did !!”

“What a great family farm! We were heading towards another place nearby and when we saw their sign we just pulled in to their parking lot to check it out. I'm so glad we did! We took the hay ride and the grounds are just beautiful. Picnic tables scattered around, making it feel inviting to linger. Instead of wheelbarrows, they have wooden wagons and baskets to hold what you pick. Some of the pumpkins were enormous! There's a whole section dedicated to flowers, a corn maze, and rows of apple trees. Everyone was so friendly and I love that they didn't "nickel and dime" us for everything! Free parking, free entrance, free corn maze. We had a great time and the apples are DELICIOUS!”

“This place is absolutely amazing! An amazing orchard and pumpkin patch with the friendliest staff you’ll find on a farm in NJ. Their market is filled with pumpkins and apples if you don’t want to pick your own as well as all kinds of squashes and amazing handmade items! Well worth the ride to western Monmouth county and it’s been a must do on our family schedule since we came across here two years ago!!”

“Was crowded the day I went, but the line moved fairly quickly; there was a constant turnaround of tractors pulling big wagons to the maze & orchards, with roomy seating. The corn maze was great, and we picked lots of delicious apples. Plenty of good photo spots as well! The employees were pleasant & knowledgeable.”

“The farm has the most scenic and beautiful views. The tractor ride was so relaxing and beautiful. We got to go apple picking, go through the corn maze, play in the corn pit, pick pumpkins, visit the petting zoo, and pick flowers. We can’t wait to make homemade apple crisp with our fresh picked apples!”

“I absolutely love this place. This was our second time at the orchards and we have been bringing our friends and family here. We took the $8 hay truck ride which includes picking of apples and pumpkins as well as the corn maze. The corn maze was amazing and we spent a good 35mins inside, fun for the entire family. The apple orchards were beautiful, well maintained and a delight to be at. There were at least 7 varieties of apples at the location”
