Before you go

A short checklist so the trip feels easy — especially helpful for first-time u-pick visits in Maryland.

  • Bring closed-toe shoes, sun protection, water, and containers unless the farm supplies them.
  • Call or check the website for today’s picking conditions — mud, rain, and sold-out fields are common.
  • Arrive earlier in the day for cooler weather and better selection during peak weekends.
  • Cash still helps at smaller stands even when cards are accepted.

“We had a wonderful family outing at Stone View Farm on Saturday, 4/25/26. The goat experience was honestly unforgettable — they were so sweet and full of personality — and of course the cows were incredible too! Melissa was a fantastic “tour guide,” sharing the history and heart behind this beautiful farm in a way that made the whole visit feel personal and meaningful. We were also lucky enough to have Bill and their amazing doggo, Link, join us for part of the experience, which made it even more special. Stone View Farm was incredibly accommodating and thoughtful toward my 81‑year‑old grandmother, and that kindness meant the world to us. I also want to shout out their awesome volunteer, Claire. She is one dedicated, hardworking young woman, and it was clear how much she cares about the animals and the farm. This entire team was exceptional — warm, patient, and genuinely passionate about what they do. Before we left, we had the chance to meet one of the owners, Shad, who told us about some exciting upcoming events and changes happening at the farm. We’re already looking forward to coming back later this season to see everything they’re working on. I cannot thank the Stone View Farm team enough for such a memorable day. We absolutely will be returning”

“We visited this local farm for the first time this fall and had such a great experience! The pumpkin patch was perfect, and the wagon ride and barrel cars were so much fun, especially for kids. The property is absolutely beautiful and made for great photos everywhere you looked. The staff was friendly and welcoming, and the farm animals were adorable. Such a wonderful place for a fall outing — we’ll definitely be back!”

“This recently restored farm is fantastic! It was beautiful! We went for ice cream and enjoyed eating it in a quiet, peaceful, incredibly scenic location. The owner then invited us for a hay ride. It was just so much fun. It's only open occasionally so check social media, and their web page for events. We will be returning for future events!”

“A beautiful farm in Darlington, full of fun family events. A great place to bring the kids to ride the barrel train and hay wagon. Photos opportunities the mini highland cows, goats and pigs. The christmas train garden is a huge G scale layout with lots to see. Great day trip to see all they have to offer.”

“We went here over the weekend as we are local to the area! It is a pretty nice spot. Upon arriving to the location we were a bit confused as where exactly we would present our tickets or to who. No staff was around until we got to the barn . We walked into the barn and looked around in the shopping area. They have snacks, and drinks, popcorn, hotdogs, hot chocolate, coffee, icecream! I mentioned to the cashier I had bought tickets and she scanned them off my phone and gave us bracelets. We purchased tickets for the corn maze. It was fun! There's some goats that kids loved! It's a relaxed atmosphere, not too overwhelming. We had a nice time while we were there.”
