Before you go
A short checklist so the trip feels easy — especially helpful for first-time u-pick visits in Pennsylvania.
- Bring closed-toe shoes, sun protection, water, and containers unless the farm supplies them.
- Call or check the website for today’s picking conditions — mud, rain, and sold-out fields are common.
- Wear clothes you don’t mind getting stained; berry juice and field mud travel home with you.
- Cash still helps at smaller stands even when cards are accepted.

“There’s nothing quite as enchanting as the fall season. Here in the US, it marks the arrival of American 🏈 , and let’s not forget the delightful array of pumpkin-flavored pu🎃 treats—pumpkin spice, pumpkin lattes, ☕and of course, the ultimate fall adventure: the corn maze! 🌽 You might wonder why I’m such a fan of corn mazes. Well, it's all about that exhilarating thrill! It feels like you’re on the edge of your seat, much like riding a roller coaster, 🎢climbing to that suspenseful peak where your heart races, and anticipation hangs in the air. Just when you think you can’t hold your breath any longer, down you go! That electrifying sensation sweeps from your toes all the way up to your medulla oblongata. 🧠 Navigating a corn maze reminds me of life itself—full of twists and turns, and uncertainty about whether you’ll find your way out. It’s a delightful challenge that keeps you guessing! My family and I frequently visit Strites' Orchard, which we’ve discovered is an absolute gem in central Pennsylvania. It’s home to fresh, non-pesticide fruits and vegetables, along with a breathtaking sunflower field 🌻that fills the soul with joy that only nature can provide. We love the pumpkin patch, not just for picking the perfect pumpkins for our cozy 👻Halloween photos, but also for simply enjoying the crisp air and the beauty of the orchard. Located just a stone’s throw away from Harrisburg, PA, one of the many reasons I cherish living in Central PA is its proximity to such wonderful amenities. If you haven’t heard of Strites' Orchard yet, you’re missing out❗ I highly recommend checking it out—it truly is one of central Pennsylvania’s best-kept secrets. Trust me; it’s an experience you won’t want to miss❗ if you have enjoyed this review, please feel free to view our YouTube channel. B Clean Professionals for more honest reviews.”

“This was my first visit and won’t be the last. It was easy to find, lots of fresh fruits and vegetables. Seen a bird flying back and forth over a corn pile, very grounding moment. The staff were very friendly, and helpful. The parking lot is spacious!”

“I purchased 3 boxes strawberries at an outrageous price of $8.75. The top ones were maybe a little bigger than thumb nail. Well below that were tiny ting mushy strawberries. I called to complain. I was told it was first picking and bigger today. That was a lie. According to website they have been picking since mid may. I received no satisfaction. I will not shop at that place again. Prices are very high and they do not correct errors on their part of cheating customers. Please watch what you buy.”

“We were excited to go blueberry picking, only to end up paying $20 for a small container and then finding mostly unripe berries. The worst part was seeing birds trapped in the nets, including one that had already died. It was a really disappointing and upsetting experience.”
