A short checklist so the trip feels easy — especially helpful for first-time u-pick visits in Pennsylvania.
- Bring closed-toe shoes, sun protection, water, and containers unless the farm supplies them.
- Call or check the website for today’s picking conditions — mud, rain, and sold-out fields are common.
- Arrive earlier in the day for cooler weather and better selection during peak weekends.
- Cash still helps at smaller stands even when cards are accepted.

“Highly recommend Styer Orchard as a fun family spot for great bites & experiences. Ive been going here with my family since I was old enough to walk. Its been a staple to visit every year around October for pumpkins and apples. Such a cute photo spot in the fall for family pictures or pictures of kiddos! They make it very picturesque! Hayrides are free and entry is free. Only pay for what you pick. I visited here this morning to check out the newly renovated store & to try out some breakfast items. The store is kept very clean and staff is lovely. Food is delicious, I got the pancakes with fruit (bananas and blueberries), and my boyfriend got a pork roll, egg and cheese breakfast sandwich. Both were every fresh and had good favor. I also bought 1/2 bag of corn for $2 & cooked it for labor day. Corn was sweet and of good quality. They have delicious butter cake & apple cider donuts! Parking in the front of the store is plentiful and theres more parking in the back (grass/ dirt) for access to the orchard! If you are looking for a new local farm/ orchard to support, I highly recommend paying a visit! Follow them on Facebook for updates about hours and what is available each day!”

“A Perfect Fall Day for the Family! We had the absolute best time at Styer Orchard today! It was the quintessential fall day outing for our family. From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere was so welcoming and festive, with the crisp autumn air and the beautiful scenery of the orchard. The main event, apple picking, was a huge hit. The kids had a fantastic time running through the rows of trees, and they were so proud of the apples they picked themselves. The quality of the fruit is outstanding – perfectly crisp, juicy, and delicious. We've already eaten half of them straight from the bag! It's such a wonderful place to disconnect and just enjoy some simple, wholesome fun together. We were able to create some truly special family memories. We couldn't have asked for a better experience, and we are already planning our trip back for next year. For any family looking for a perfect fall activity, this is the place to go. 5 stars!”

“Had such a great time! I’ve been to Linvilla and other popular orchards, but I honestly prefer Styer Farms. It’s way less crowded, yet you still get all the perfect fall vibes — pumpkins, apple picking, apple cider donuts, and more. They also have a market with pies, cookies, ice cream, and other yummy homemade goods! The prices are great, and the overall atmosphere feels genuine and welcoming. It seems like a farm that truly cares about providing a good experience, not just making money off visitors, which I really appreciate. Highly recommend!”

“The property has a sunflower field that they allow the public to cut and take home. Some are massive!!!! They’re high quality, lined well so you can walk through and come in a variety of sizes and types. The food the bakery has inside the store is amazing, they are very friendly and have amazing customer service - highly recommend. It’s not huge but it’s absolutely worth a trip. Decent parking and normal hours of operation, everything is priced well too!”
