Before you go
A short checklist so the trip feels easy — especially helpful for first-time u-pick visits in Texas.
- Bring closed-toe shoes, sun protection, water, and containers unless the farm supplies them.
- Call or check the website for today’s picking conditions — mud, rain, and sold-out fields are common.
- Wear clothes you don’t mind getting stained; berry juice and field mud travel home with you.
- Cash still helps at smaller stands even when cards are accepted.

“This was our first visit at sweet eats farm and we can’t wait to come back for more! We paid for the baby animal bottle feeding and it was such a wonderful experience, we even had the option to purchase more milk after the babies quickly ate it. There’s signs everywhere telling you where you can and cannot go which makes it very helpful. The farm was beautiful and green. We didn’t come with any kids this time but still had fun doing the pony ride (200 pound weight limit) petting zoo, picking strawberries, baby animal bottle feeding, apple cannon and splurging on all the fresh goodies in the shop on the way out. Everyone was friendly and very helpful, we went to pet the rabbit and saw the signs saying do not pick up and was told the story about how a previous guest hurt one animal. I’m glad the workers are very safe and protective of the animals as they monitored and gave clear instructions to everyone. I would recommend setting an age limit to the baby bottle petting zoo area as I saw toddlers/small children being rough with animals and the parents just laughing it off. I am a parent myself but correct my children doing unacceptable behavior, it’s a shame more parents aren’t doing more to correct their children so everyone on the farm has a great time. I would also recommend having someone watch by the strawberry picking field as I saw families picking strawberries, putting them in strollers and eating them! It’s a shame that you’d potentially have to put workers there to stop thefts on a local farm. All in all it was a wonderful experience and we’re already planning to buy tickets for the sunflower festival as I saw plenty blooming today! Thank you for this wonderful experience”

“What an amazing day at the farm!! Our 2.5 year old granddaughter had the best time ever! Check in was very fast and easy! They were so helpful! We started the morning with Brunch with the bunny! She loved dancing with the bunny and enjoyed the donuts! The food was hot and fresh! That Maple blueberry sausage is 🔥! The pony rides and slide were so fun! She loved the pig races!! We did an Easter Egg hunt and she ran to find all of the eggs. I loved they separated the big kids from the littles!! She found so many!! We bottle fed the cutest little goat ever! They were so lovable and she did t want to leave them. She enjoyed a delish lemonade from the grill! As we were leaving she picked out an adorable baby doll to remember her big day! We will definitely be back for more fun!!”

“We had a wonderful time at the tulip festival. There were lots of things to do and the accessibility was beyond what I have seen at any other farm such as this. I went with my adult daughter who greatly enjoyed feeding the baby animals. The only comment I would say is that more staff should be around as we saw people yanking tulips from the ground in the areas where signs said not to pick them. As well parents were not managing children in the animal area to where we saw a few babies dropped and crying while being held inappropriately. Otherwise it was a wonderful experience we will for sure return.”

“My husband and I went here for the sunflower festival and had such a great experience. The Staff are very friendly and welcoming. This farm is kid friendly with many activities.I cant wait to come back in October. We opted for a vase so we could pick as many sunflowers as we could fit. Very reasonably priced. Sunflowers are my favorite flower. They had so much variety and so many huge sunflowers. Staff are very knowledgeable about the sunflower care and variety and were very happy to answer questions. I highly recommend a visit especially if you have kids.”

“We visited on a weekday and had such a lovely experience. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. My toddler absolutely loved feeding the baby goats and enjoyed the pony ride so much. The apple cannons were also super fun! It did feel a little pricey, and we probably wouldn’t go very often for that reason — but honestly, the memories we made were totally worth it. 😊”

“SO MUCH FUN!!! The baby animal petting zoo did not disappoint. It was fantastic! The large petting zoo is also a blast! I took teenagers and thought we wouldn't be there long, but there were plenty of fun activities that they thoroughly enjoyed. We stayed four hours and would have liked to stay just a little longer, but we were out of time.”

“It was a lovely day with family. Would have given 5 stars, but they dont accept all credit cards and my friend had to use hers to purchase tickets online. I too out $200 cash to spend here, but they dont accept cash at all, so it came home with me. Very well layed out, lots to do. If I had young children or young grand children closeby I would get the season tickets, but once a year will do it for us. Those Washington apples for cannon shooting were absolutely delicious, but I am partial to fruit from "home". They were very delicious apples. So much fun and what great weather. Thank you for creating an enjoyable place. I can hardly wIt until the flowers are blooming.”
