Texas Blueberry Festival

“If you come to the blueberry festival, you’ve got to get some blueberry pancakes! It’s tradition at this point! This year they were $7 cash and $7.50 card. Located near the informational building in downtown Nacogdoches (na•kuh•dow•chuhs).”

“A fun festival. Lots of cool, friendly vendors. Free water (it was 100 degrees out). Delicious food”

“Tons of vendors, however very few that sold anything blueberry related. Parking was a hassle find it where you can and its difficult. The blueberry pie vendor was amazing”

“My family and I drove 2 hours from Conroe yesterday to attend this festival. Have to say we were extremely disappointed. We arrived a little before 10 am and there were no fresh blueberries to be had. No jams, jellies etc. You could purchase a blueberry pie from Brookshire Brothers for $16.00. Only found 4 vendors selling blueberry baked goods. More business/political/church booths like at&t than handmade items for sell. The pie eating contest was stuck in a corner by the Brookshire Brothers booth and you couldn't even see it because there were so many people trying to crowd this very small table. The bands were excellent. The food was expensive. $7 for a cup of lemonade. Will not go again. Will stay local and pick our own. Crazy.”

“We came all the way from Dallas to attend the festival. Very disappointing. No blueberries anywhere. No blueberry pies, blueberry pizza, no blueberry anything: Well, Brookshires had a booth where you could buy blueberries. 🫐 This was not worth the drive. And if we wanted to see or taste any blueberries.. we could drive 15 minutes to the nearest blueberry farm. We left after 35 minutes of nothing. There was a popcorn vendor with blueberry popcorn. That was it. We asked around and went directly to the booth that was selling t-shirts- why are there not any blueberries? They just shrugged their shoulders. We left to the tomato festival in Jacksonville. Maybe that will be better.”

“Was saddened by the rudeness and lack of organization. Drove over an hour and a half then waited in line for 15-20 minutes to participate in painting a mural (while asked THREE times if I had a glove), but never told/asked if I had a certificate to participate. NO SIGNAGE. NO APOLOGIES. A sad joke. Never going back - and recommend people avoid the poorly planned "festival."”

“I expected a "Blueberry Festival" to be more centralized around blueberries. The homemade blueberry pancakes were good, the music was good, and the car show was awesome. After that, I saw one vendor that had blueberry products and they weren't even local blueberries. With all the food trucksit felt more like a carnival without the rides, games, and clowns.”
