“Looks like a bunch of people are ganging up on the farmer's market due to religious reasons which I don't feel represents the experience of the market. It's a shame they all brought down the ratings, because you're likely hurting small businesses and farmers. The produce I purchased was great, and it was nice finding a good variety. The market was easily maneuvered by my grandfather who was using a walker. He had a good time as well. Altogether, it was a nice experience. Before you judge it by rating, read the reviews. Sounds like one person got turned away and got several people to write the same review. East Lansing is a wonderful place for diversity and love for community. If you represent judgment and discrimination, I personally don't want to be hounded by you in public. Support local businesses and farmers. You can taste the difference in your food when someone has cared for their produce properly!”

“Very cool little farmers market with great vendors. Always a HUGE plus supporting local farmers. Bought $40 worth of garlic and bulbs/seed from the garlic guy from Bath, Phil Throop. Got 4 different varieties. Plenty of other vendors with a lot of other stuff and amazing foods. Cool live music was nice to. And the park was clean, smoke free and really nice. Definitely worth checking out. I'd give 10 stars if possible. Plus prices considering the amount of organic food available was very fair.”

“Love this market. Such a great diversity of products - Stone Circle Bread is killer, Trillium Wood Farm has the best chicken I've tasted around, and there's always a good diversity of vegetable growers and products. The fish guy also has great stuff and is a unique addition to any farmers market. The music they have always creates a nice atmosphere! Even if I don't buy anything, I make an effort to come every Sunday because it's such an enjoyable experience.”

“Atmosphere was very welcoming, the produce was fantastic, and I'm so glad the city enforced the equality code that they have. I heard there were others who had issue, but honestly if you're willing to take peoples money in the city, but deny them services at home then you're The Worst kind of person. Very glad the city doesn't condone that kind of behavior, especially at such a nice event (:”

“Don't know why there are negative reviews when this place is wonderful. I go every week and love it! I go early morning since parking can be tight later in the day. I always stop by to get some honey which can change flavors depending on where they are getting their honey. I usually get the breakfast burritos and a drink from the local vendors.”

“It was very good here, they had the besto pesto! And very good donuts”

“I'll provide an actual review of the market itself, as most of these are just a condemnation of a civic policy . The market (which had its first day of the season today) is small but all of the producers who sell here are very high quality. There's a good balance of prepared food, produce, baked goods, meat, and other fare typically found at a farmer's market. There's also usually live music and the market is located next to a park, which is great for the kids. It's a little smaller than I would prefer (which is the reason for 4 stars), and there are only a couple booths I typically visit. Overall, this is a nice market and worth at least one visit.”

“atmosphere and people are great. i like the music. its too small and because of that, prices are too high. $5 for a dozen eggs? thats funny. It needs to expand a little bit onto the field to accommodate more stalls.”
