Before you go

A short checklist so the trip feels easy — especially helpful for first-time u-pick visits in North Carolina.

  • Bring closed-toe shoes, sun protection, water, and containers unless the farm supplies them.
  • Call or check the website for today’s picking conditions — mud, rain, and sold-out fields are common.
  • Wear clothes you don’t mind getting stained; berry juice and field mud travel home with you.
  • Cash still helps at smaller stands even when cards are accepted.

“✨ A Magical Christmas Light Wonderland! ✨ If you’re looking for something that truly captures the spirit of the holiday season, this Christmas light magical land is an absolute must-visit! From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by some of the friendliest staff with warm smiles, helpful attitudes, and genuine holiday cheer. The lights themselves were breathtaking… millions of twinkling colors, stunning displays, and whimsical scenes that made you feel like you stepped straight into a Christmas storybook. Every corner had something new to explore, making it perfect for families, kids, and anyone wanting to experience a little holiday magic. There were plenty of fun activities for all ages, and the whole place felt safe, welcoming, and full of joy. It’s the kind of place that turns into a yearly tradition. creating memories you’ll cherish long after the season ends. We did the Make your own stuffed holiday cheer animal. With a like “build a beer” experience. Highly recommended! Small-$15 large-$20 each outfits $10 each. The food was meh, but the donuts and cider 10/10 Highly recommend for anyone wanting a festive, heartwarming, family-friendly Christmas experience! 🎄💫”

“I purchased a bushel of half runner beans from The Farm last week & took them to nursing home in neighboring community for the residents there to string & break the beans & then have staff cook them. The residents who participated could not stop telling we what a great time they had preparing the beans….they all were thrilled to gather together as they did when they were younger. It was a great time to go down memory lane for them all. And they all wanted me to know how special this activity was for them, and to tell me how delicious the beans from The Farm were! Thank you for providing delicious produce for our community, and especially to make this activity possible for this group of dear folks!!”

“My nephew and his school recently went on a field trip 10/8/25 we had never heard of this Farm but I’m sure glad we did! The staff were awesome the scenery was beautiful. We also attended with my 1 year old grandson who enjoyed himself just as much as the bigger kids. I think his favorite part were the animals (pigs, cow, sheep, chickens,) we had fun on a smooth hay ride and let’s talk about the prices for the food— GREAT DEALS! It’s definitely a place I would recommend and I’m sure we will visit again soon. Thank you for a a wonderful time.”

“This place is amazing and such a value only $15 per person with so many things to do. There are a few things that cost extra, but still very reasonable. The apple cider slushies were so good. The kids her after pumpkin at the end. The field of sunflowers was beautiful and little white butterflies fluttering everywhere. They have 100 varieties of pumpkins. There is acorn maze and a party that's just for kids with a Spookly pumpkin story trail.”

“One of the best Christmas experiences in the area. Plenty of activities to fill the entire evening with a Christmas light maze, wagon ride through a larger Christmas light display, costumed holiday characters, a Santa Claus experience plus all of the family friendly activities from their fall festival! Fun for the entire family.”

“We went to The Farm in Dobson, NC. We’ve been to a lot of agritourism/holiday-themed farms over the years, but this one was the best. So many great activities, an excellent tractor ride to see the light display, baby goats, very clean with real restrooms (IYKYK😂), and everything was so well organized. I highly recommend it.”

“Beautiful fun experience for the whole family! The fun jungle gyms that are available while the sun is setting all the lights are beautiful as the sun is going down and when it’s dark. Hay rides and hot drinks and doughnuts help top of the experience. There is even heaters scattered around to help the cold!”

“I totally enjoyed picking strawberries, don't get me wrong, but when wanted to buy some food, I was told I had to pay $13 per person just to get inside and eat. I understand that it is because of the playing area. But, come on... You can think of something, bracelets, stamps, something. My party was 4 adults...”
