What you can pick

In August, check what’s currently ripe before you go. Seasons below are typical windows for South Carolina, not a guarantee for this exact farm.

Before you go

A short checklist so the trip feels easy — especially helpful for first-time u-pick visits in South Carolina.

  • Bring closed-toe shoes, sun protection, water, and containers unless the farm supplies them.
  • Call or check the website for today’s picking conditions — mud, rain, and sold-out fields are common.
  • Wear clothes you don’t mind getting stained; berry juice and field mud travel home with you.
  • Cash still helps at smaller stands even when cards are accepted.

What visitors say

“Such a fun experience for all ages! Great family activity. Everyone loved it from great-grandparents to grandkids. Perfect activity for an overcast morning. Staff was helpful but laid back. Property was beautiful. No crowds. Blueberries were delicious. I enjoyed this more than apple picking because it took the kids longer to fill their blueberry baskets. Incredibly inexpensive prices for what you get. Porter potties are the only facilities but they were very clean. A water cooler and cups were provided. They also had one picnic table. Be sure to bring your own containers for bringing your fruit home.”

“Very scenic drive there. I recommend going early and be prepared to walk alot on very hilly areas. These blueberry bushes were LOADED with luscious berries! We picked about ALOT! Bring your own containers for picking, although they do have some available to use. Wear a hat, sunscreen, tennis shoes, sunglasses, and dress very comfortably. Very good prices and friendly helpful staff. We missed out on the blackberries, others had already got most. But there are others that will be ripe very soon. Only regret was not coming sooner!! We will be back!!”

“My husband and I love this place! We visited back in October of 2025 (for the second time) to pick persimmons. The absolute BEST persimmons we've ever had!! The owner, Walker, is just a treat all by himself. Such a personable guy who knows his job well and enjoys having conversation with his visitors. We can't wait to visit during the spring and summer! And I must say...his prices are unbeatable!! Thanks, Walker! The Perrys are sold on taking this 3 hr drive for your delicious fruit! Can't wait to try the others. 🥰”

“Great place and well taken care of! Lots and lots of delicious blueberries and blackberries. Also, grapes, fig trees and persimmons (when it's the season). Great price as well. We drove over an hour and definitely worth the drive. We picked lots of blueberries and blackberries. We will definitely be going back! Bring cash, but they accept card (extra 4% charge).”

“Great place for picking blueberries this time of year. Cash or check preferred, and if you have them, bring your own gallon buckets. If you don't have some, they will provide you some. Always friendly, and well worth the drive”

“Blueberries are great the people were amazing giving us hints on how to find the best picks and then guided us to those sites. They were so kind and they even gave me a recipe booklet!!!”

“Great experience! Employees were so nice and knowledgeable. Fields are we'll maintained and spacious. Will definitely return regularly! Kids had an awesome time picking berries.”

“So many different kinds of fruit and berries growing! It was fun to see them cultivated, but maybe we needed better guidance for finding the ripe varieties. We only found a handful of blackberries. Here is a picture of one heavily-laden vine that will be yummy in a few weeks.”
