Before you go
A short checklist so the trip feels easy — especially helpful for first-time u-pick visits in Wisconsin.
- Bring closed-toe shoes, sun protection, water, and containers unless the farm supplies them.
- Call or check the website for today’s picking conditions — mud, rain, and sold-out fields are common.
- Wear clothes you don’t mind getting stained; berry juice and field mud travel home with you.
- Cash still helps at smaller stands even when cards are accepted.

“The Little Farmer is the quintessential fall family experience. We loved exploring the apple orchards and pumpkin patches—it’s beautiful to see where everything grows! It’s ideally set up for a family picnic; there are lovely spots to relax and enjoy the fresh air. From start to finish, the atmosphere was wonderful and the experience was genuinely charming. Highly recommend for a day of simple, wholesome fun. Zero disappointment!”

“Best fall family experience around. Affordable, fun, and great memories to be made here every time. My family is obsessed with the caramel apples. We love their affordable hay ride, corn maze, play area and so much more. Pick your own apples/ pumpkins/ plums and more. Their bakery items are delicious.”

“I have been a Wisconsinite my whole life, have never been to The Little Farmer until this past weekend. It's perfect for children of all ages, they have a huge enclosed playground area with only one exit/entrance, so it makes it easier to wrangle the littles during play. Everything was very reasonably priced for being kind of touristy place to visit. It's super quaint, with tons of beautiful foliage/historic buildings and places to take cute selfies/family photos. The day we went they were making custom-to-order carmel apples, it was awesome. Their baked goods are excellent. The hayride is a bit more rough than I anticipated, plus their apple orchard is so healthy, the limbs have begun to overgrow into some of the hayride path. Was not a fan of getting whacked by some of the ends of the branches lol. Their staff is extremely helpful and kind. Their pumpkins are top notch, and they provide wagons to cart around your purchases (first come, first serve for the wagons, but it seemed like there were always enough). PSA: PLEASE be slow in the parking areas, my toddler ran off on me during the carmel apple eating, and thankfully the driver was driving slow and paying close attention, or else it could have been tragic day instead of the wonderful family day we had instead. I wish they would rethink the fencing in the front part/entrance to the farm for safety reasons, hence why I gave 4 stars instead of 5. Would definitely recommend to anyone to go at least once. For anyone wondering about accessibility, my mother used her walker the entire time, and there were wheelchair users there, so it's definitely an accessible day trip tourist trap :)”

“Such a cute and cozy fall feeling! I love the way everything is decorated and themed. The kids play area looks fun and unique. The bakery and little gift shop place is cute! The farmhouse is so cool, with all the little businesses selling stuff there and the themed rooms upstairs! Coffee is really good too, along with fun flavors. Pumpkin patch and apple orchard are cool and large.”
