“I lived at the Outback Farm from 1979 to 1982. What an amazing experience! Milking goats, tending the gardens, firing up the sauna... There is a wide community of people who have long since passed through the Outback, but who will work to support it in anyway we know how. Re-roofing the lower cabin (now the ONLY cabin!) was an example of the effort that Outback alumni contributed to keeping the Outback alive. The farm continues to thrive under the care of a new generation of people who care about the earth, connections and sustainability. Long live the Outback Farm!”

“This is the best petting farm I’ve ever been to! They have lemurs, emu and kangaroos! (and also a pig, donkeys, turtles, llamas and an alpaca, chickens and peacocks!) We saw a kangaroo with her baby in her pocket! It’s such a unique farm tour! All the animals are in great condition, some of them are very friendly with people and petable, all of them seems really happy with the pretty big field as their home!”

“Organic WWU-student-run farm has been going since the 1960s. Open to students and community members to tend their own community garden plots, they also often host fun workshops and events!”
