Before you go
A short checklist so the trip feels easy — especially helpful for first-time u-pick visits in Tennessee.
- Bring closed-toe shoes, sun protection, water, and containers unless the farm supplies them.
- Call or check the website for today’s picking conditions — mud, rain, and sold-out fields are common.
- Wear clothes you don’t mind getting stained; berry juice and field mud travel home with you.
- Cash still helps at smaller stands even when cards are accepted.

“We visited the strawberry patch in Orlinda this past Saturday and had such a great time! It’s the perfect place for kids and adults alike. Our daughter loved picking fresh strawberries straight from the field, riding the swings, and exploring the farm. There’s something special about picking fruit right from the source — it creates great family bonding time and gives kids a hands-on way to learn where food comes from instead of only seeing it at the grocery store. The strawberries were fresh, sweet, and delicious. Beautiful scenery, friendly atmosphere, and a relaxing country feel. We’ll definitely be back again! 🍓”

“Happened to see the sign they put up and decided to drop by. Friendly people and great prices for the amount of strawberries that you get. You can pick your own or buy pre-priced containers. They also sell ice cream cones and fresh strawberry slushes. My husband I both enjoyed the slushes and he even got a jar of his favorite strawberry jalapeño jam. We will definitely come back again.”

“The sweetest family grows the sweetest strawberries!!! These berries are so extremely delicious. There have been times that I will take my water bottle and rinse off a berry on the drive home to eat. They are a must to try during the season. You won't be disappointed.”
