“I called this farm to find out how they grow their basil. Tom picked up without saying the name of the company, and made a point when I asked if this was Tom Pontino & Son Farm to say yeah but I'm not him. After asking how they grow their basil, he got aggressively defensive trying to mansplain to me the merits of pesticides. When I asked him for his name he said Tom, then I asked why he went into this whole diatribe when all I wanted to know was their growing techniques. He hung up on me after saying "well you know what, don't buy it then." Treating customers like this is a recipe for chapter 11. I hope he rises to the occasion of trying to be a more decent human being. Till then, I can only advise you to take your business elsewhere.”
